I’m looking to buy Oakley Lizard and get the lenses at New China Opticians. Saw most places selling at $279 For the frame. Lazada and Shopee no stock for this model. Anyone knows where I can get one at a good price.

Hi, there are Afew options like Hoya sensity, Essilor transition 8, Zeiss photofusion.
I would suggest maybe antifatigue lenses like Hoya sync 3, Essilor Eyezen or Zeiss digital lenses.
If you need someone to look for over there I can recommend you.

Thanks for the recs :)
Would be great if you can suggest someone to look for!

Just wanted to check if anyone has replaced the lenses before on a pair of Swissflex rimless frame? They appear to be both drill mounted and then glued so I dun know if this is impossible to replace/ can be done by any optician or only Italee/ swissflex retailers.

The lens prescription on my pair is now outdated and I am thinking of having these made into reading glasses instead as the frame is still in good condition.

Went for China-made prescription glasses to save money ):

Will probably try better lenses from Hoya next time, after this pair spoils. But how big is the quality difference between Hoya lenses and Mingyue lenses? Or brands such as Zeiss, Nikon or Essilor. How far down on the tier list is this China Mingyue's brand.

Details of glasses (including price)
Frame + Lens (from 明月 Ming Yue. QR code given that redirects to Mingyue's website to certify your lenses)

Right Eye: -4.25 / -0.50 / 20
Left Eye: -3.75 / -1.00 / 170
PD: 64

Lens Index: 1.6 (1.597?)
Add Anti-Blue Light protection

+ Overseas Shipping using Sensitive Shipping: S$4.99 (500grams. Actual weight: 0.39kg. Volumetric Weight: 0.28kg)

What is the difference between Eyezen and Digitime lenses by Essilor?
Hi,
Digitime is an office lens whereas Eyezen is an antifatigue/digital lenses.
1)Digitime is more for intermediate(computer) and near work usage.
2)Eye zen allows you to see far, intermediate and near just that the intermediate and near zone is small than digitime.

It has to be sent back to the supplier to be done. They have the proper tools/solvent to remove the lenses. Based on my knowledge almost everyone will send the frame back to supplier to remove replace the old lenses.
So not to worry, your frame will be usable still.

Great that you feel that way!

Though there are individuals with high tolerance that they are able to adapt. Most will be able to feel the difference especially if they are presbyopic.

Hi @GANGSTERKIA

When leaving rimless specs on a surface, shld I avoid folding the temples? My thinking ish that repeatedly folding/unfolding may cause the mounting to slowly loosen...not sure if this makes sense. Thanks.

Hey, you are not wrong on that thought. Though it actually applies to all hinges, over time they will become loose.

It’s fine to fold the temple lesser but just be careful, wider= more surface area to contact on to damage it.

Hi @GANGSTERKIA

My power is as below :

L :SPH( -3.75), CYL(-1.00), Axis(175)
R :SPH( -5.50), CYL(-0.50), Axis(180)

Age is 34, do you have any recommended Hoya lens. Currently using Hoya as well, but not sure what type as was purchased back in Malaysia( was around ~Rm600). Clueless about the price range over. Any recommendations..

Also out of curiousity..what is the price range of Oliver People and Lindberg here in SG..kinda liking the styles..

Any recommendations for optical shop as well? East side preferably..Sorry for so many noob questions. I'm a Malaysian trapped in SG currently. Lol.
