Recently saw a Masaki Matsushima frame at a neighbourhood area optical shop.

with the normal lens is 460.

with crizal transition lens is 740

is the price consider reasonable?

can also share if there are any other places selling Masaki frames?

I made a pair of specs with carl zeiss lens. I ever see before CZ lens got this logo on the right lens but mine doesnt have. why ah? i have the CZ guarantee certificate though

your zeiss logo got cut off after being cut. dont worry about the authenticity bro.


normally not just right lens have logo, means last time your left side got cut off, now right hahahah. bobian one

depends if you hardcore request bro, you think every stock lens in shop they cut and send lab to engrave? lol.
zeiss will be more than happy to engrave it for you.
in summary, not all lenses are engraved on the end product due to cutting off.
to request isnt a problem just that i think it waste everybody's time, if you doubt the shop, dun even go in please.

just to clear any doubts around. dont go around thinking all zeiss lens got the logo. if want logo, u better ask for it to be sent to the lab to be done and get the logo. (if you dont trust the shop to do your lens)

deadshotx, if you still doubt, go back shop ask them send lab. simple. you got the time to wait i think that shdnt be a problem at all

stock lenses will come with the engraving . sometimes, rarely though , the logo might get cut off, but usually it's just rotated to some part you can't see

have seen shops done that but it's relatively rare, due to the fact zeiss had the logo and card . kinda stupid to do that. easier to try that bait and switch stunt with other brands

there's one case
i wasn't there when the shop promised seiko/hoya so I cannot be sure the customer was cheated. customer insisted he was but his attitude towards me is he kept trying to bargain the price down, I tend to suspect he was quoted a branded lens and decided to take something 1 notch lower due to cost but his memory was stuck at the part before bargaining.
lenses on his frame was almost 2/5 lower for retail price of what he said he purchased and the shop who did the glasses for him wasn't known to pull stunts


i've met customers who made half frame /frameless and was advised to take 1.6/polycarb lenses but refused to because they think they know better and the staff are trying to smoke them

then come back when the lenses are cracked and threatened to break the shop's windows and insisted the shop replaced the lenses with polycarb/1.6 foc because staff did not insist on the upgrade in the first place

nobody wants to offend the customer . like the member here named seannie who insisted it's professionalism to insist the customer follow the practitioner's advice

in reality demanding the customer listen will only offend the customer and make the customer think you're trying to make more money
I've had a young lady came in before to buy "blue control lenses" and asked me about it and got offended when I tried to explain results not concrete yet

if i just shut my mouth and agree with her everyone would be happy
i get my sales, she gets her blue control lenses

reading what seanie and the young man insisted reminds me of the story of the old couple and their donkey

Got chance is cut off. My own personal pair got cut off 4/5 of the logo. Left 1/5 at the very corner. Depends on your lens axis and frame size. Sometimes the logo gets cut off fully

sometimes got black sheep amongst shops/staff...but there are also some asshole customers too

hi guys, considering to change my glasses after 3-4 years of usage for the current pair.

my degree is about 800-900 for left and right with astig (probably 100 or less).

i'm currently using 1 with transition lens. spend quite equal amount of time indoor using PC and outdoor since i'm doing sales.

can anybody recommend a trusty optical shop that won't chop me. i mean if my requirements for lenses are high, i won't mind paying abit more but just dun like the fact that the neighbourhood shop i previously go to sort of chopped me.
