Would not recommend half frame if your degree is so high. The lens from the side would look really thick. If you still insist tho, 1.74 for right, 1.6 for left is recommended.

Yar light enters your eyes at differing speeds. One side faster. One side slower.

just take 1.67 index good enough. 1.74 wont make much difference as you choosing a smaller frame.

Depends what is your budget and your priorities then can recommend. If you have budget then go for japanese brands more durable. For lens take hoya if you scared of scratches the coating is better. But anyhow plastic lens still turn yelo after 2 years so still need to change. So depends on your expectations.

Hmmm, my budget can be expanded if it is a good frame that can last me for some time. I'm still not sure what spectacle brands I should be looking at but I know I am looking for half-frames kind.

My priorities is most likely, Aesthetics > Durability > Comfort > Price. But comfort hopefully still have some standards. Hehe

Seiko A zone lens v good for high power degrees but very expensive dont think u will want.

So I guess I'll just go with the hoya lenses bah?

Go with hoya lor, what to do, sg shops dont have many choices unless u go to jb.

I dont know bugis man. I usually go to my optician near my office. So its easier for me if need adjustments.

Can also lar. They alot of oakleys. Depends what you want. Go look look see see first. Happy satisfied with the service then u buy. Else just walk out try another shop. If not wrong all the staff there are young ladies but quite ok.

Very cheap, but I doubt the lens is glass, more like plastic.

depends though.... if just normal basic lens with cheap multicoat is around $60 from my knowledge... if you want good lens like crizal, market price is around 130 smth like that...? i forgot how much did paris miki quote me also...
if im not wrong most optical shops has prices around like that

I made a pair of spec from Crystal Optics in Hougang Mall... very normal black plastic frame like those used in NSF.... and normal lens with just some anti-scratch coating.. quite expensive lor.. not even crizal lens... $168

lol...... i guess the frame is expensive... or maybe because of the anti-scratch coating.... normal multicoat lens doesnt comes with the anti-scratch coating... thats why all those optician will say go for crizal if u want scratch resistance...

Actually supposed to be $88 one... but the coating costs $80 more...

Now the frame is falling apart, the screw is corroded due to sweat.... now waiting for new pair of specs from Taobao... supposed to filter out 80% UV blue. Good for those playing PC games or working at PC.

Different index wont screw up your eyes lol. Not significant enough to feel it. Anything just ask ur optician to recommend u. Ask them

Things look yellowish but glare is reduced. V good for our lufestyle cos we stare at pc/fone/play games/surf net/watch tv for over 12hrs a day. So its highly recommended. Only thing is the purple reflection is alot. Essilor put in so much R&D into it dont think its lousy la. Protects UV and harmful blue light. What more to ask for? Coating wise so far so good didnt cui. Unlike zeiss cui damn fast. Personally v disapoointed in zeiss.

I just collected mine during the weekend. It is a Transitions Crizal Prevencia lenses. I noticed things do look "warmer" or so called yellowish. It is not really bothering me since things still look natural coloured.

Using these 2 days, sitting in front of Office PC straight 8 hours. I really feel my eyes not that tired and more comfort looking at LED/LCD monitor & my 55" LED TV. The Violet reflection on the lens coating is obviously a lot. But it wont interfere the vision in anyway.

I used to go Crystal Optics in Hougang Mall to make my spec. This time, I changed to another neighbourhood spec chain shop at Hougang central. Till then I released I have been paying full price on the lens, where this friendly neighbourhood spec chain shop able to reduce the MSRP on the len & discount on the frame.
