Seen a great deal of people discussing about Custom made Oakleys and Prescription (with degree) Oakley Sunglasses.

Don't mind if I promote my services a little (still within HWZ). I help order authentic Oakley prescription sunglass lens direct from Oakley Labs US:
http://deluxeforums.hardwarezone.co...-sunglasses-eyeglasses-oakley-us-4624532.html

I myself am a prescription Oakley sunglass user so I understand the frustration and difficulties(due to the exorbitant costs) associated with getting Oakley rx sunglasses in SG. I finally got a way out by(just so happen I know a optometrist source in the US), so Im extending this help to everyone out here.

Hope I will be able to help.

Thanks

Ordering prescription glasses in Johor

Hello everybody,

Do you have an experience ordering prescription glasses in Johor? If yes, who/what place would you recommend?

My wife needs glasses, here in Singapore we are quoted >$1000. When she order her current one in States 5 years ago, it costed $300. So I am looking for what alternative options are available to reduce the cost. Paying >$1000 is not an option.

I guess most important is to find one that you like, and suits your face shape.. not so much trend ba

Hi.. Am quite a noob here. Was a regular at my neighborhood optician until I realized he kinda chopped me. So now I'm looking for other places to get new prescription glass.

Is owndays good? I live very near Bedok Mall, so I might get it from there. But I'm more concerned about variety and quality of frames/lenses.

Been searching online too... Glassesonline.sg and smartbuyglasses.com.sg are two websites I found. Prices seem very reasonable. Are they good? Anyone bought from them before? My major concern is if I purchase then require any after sales service (eg screws and stuff) then how sia :(

Sorry a huge noob here. Not much brand preference, just prefer quality at around $150-350 range. Not really looking at luxury brands. Prefer rimless frames. Thanks a lot!

Actually Owndays is cheap. Dirt cheap if you know how to reign in your "god complex".

See this post.

The bad thing about Owndays is that they don't use the local supplier for the lens stocks they have. The common ones they have can be done in 20min. If it is heavy prescription, the cost is still the same but will take minimum 2 weeks before you get your spectacles. They lenses fly in straight from Japan.

I was a regular at Cantat (it's at the Market Place near Tanah Merah).

Prices started out reasonable (around $220 for non-brand frames, korean photochromic lens), but then I realised that the store is starting to rip me off after ~3 years of patronage. I understand that prices are going up, but it was quite a steep jump. Most recent pair ~$300 for plastic rock berries frame/korean photochromic lenses. Previous pair was non-branded $320.... Find it a little too much.

My degree is only about 350-ish. :(

Looks rather enticing. I'm thinking of getting a pair with transitions add-on (+$100). :)

Hey guys, need some advice on choosing between a few models of spectacles.
I'm currently looking into Moscot Lemtosh and Oliver Peoples Sheldrake spectacles.
Both are great looking spectacles and I'm finding it hard to decide which one to get.

I've also tried out Dita New Yorker which also looks great but almost twice the price of Moscot.

Which one is better Moscot Lemtosh or Oliver Peoples Sheldrake ?

Also, has any one owned a pair of Dita spectacles? Please do share you experience on this brand.

Thank you.
