Thank you
So medical expense will cover seeing a GP. I wonder if medications are included since the the pharmacy invoice is separated from GP consultation.
Aiyo. It says medical treament. Doctor can treat you with 'words' only ah? Of cos need medication to treat right? And how do you know that all clinic invoices in the world will seperate consultant and meds into 2 invoices?

Question if I have medical coverage from my company and have travel insurance can claim both?

some YES eg) hospitalization cash allowance

some NO eg) outpatient medical

normally those "out of pocket" which u pay first then recover from Insurer, can only claim from one, but if coverage not sufficient, then claim balance from another

best to refer to Policy Wordings bcos different insurers have different terms

Singlife still cheapest without looking at the full cover if you already have Mindef policy with them.

can recommend travel insurance with pre-existing conditions ? NTUC/Tiq/ FWD or others?

Recently I was sourcing for travel insurance for 2 elderly with pre-existing conditions.
From my research, at the moment, Insurers such as FWD, AIG, GE, Sompo, Singlife all do not have Travel Insurance covering pre-existing conditions.

There are 3 insurers which provide travel insurance for pre-existing conditions, MSIG, Etiqa & Income.

Initially my preference was Etiqa, but after reading their policy wordings, the insured must satisfy these requirements in order to be covered for emergency medical evacuation:
...in the past 12 months, the Insured does not have any pre-existing medical condition which has required them to:
i. Receive treatment at a hospital's A&E more than once
ii. Stay in a hospital as an inpatient for more than 3 days in a row
iii. Stay in a hospital for more than once

As 1 of the elderly has hit above, thus cannot choose Etiqa.
MSIG also have similar requirements as Etiqa.

End up have to choose Income's Pre-X policy...:(

Thanks for detailed info, no wonder Income’s Pre-X policy can be so expensive….. if it’s for past 12 months then maybe I can buy etiqa (Tiq) for my mother. I’ll double check again.

Is it necessary to buy insurance with cancel for any reason? Only Singlife and FWD have it. Only Singlife allows more than 6 mth up to a year in advance to purchase but I am not really a fan of Singlife.
