Some sharing (posted in WUS Rolex Sub Forum)

Its been a journey since i started with a Tag Heuer Aquaracer. My collection has evolved since then.

Here we go

Recent acquisition! 2 Dark Knight (1 sold). Love the ceramic dual tone bezel. Makes the timepiece shine in different shades under different light.

The love for vintage pieces hits me real hard that i have to get one of these. Ref 1680 from a dear friend of mine. Circa 1977. Awesome patina with robust movement. never been serviced since the day it left the rolex factory. still running at COSC specs. Had to leave it in a winder to keep it going because the lack of quickset date can drive me crazy!

My very first Rolex i got it from a trade using my Pam005. Evergreen classic with non maxi dial! Too bad i have to sell it to get the Ref 1680 (Can't afford to keep too many crowns)

And lastly, my first venture out to the house of rolex and tudor! the black bay noir. I had to get it after reading John Mayer's review over at hodinkee! Got it at my local AD on Boxing Day 2015! With its short production span, the use of the rose logo on both the dial and crown and the smiley line makes it a keeper. The newer version just doesn't cut it although the in house movement is a plus. With a mix of shield logo on dial and rose logo on crown makes it look weird.

I can't find a 21mm one leh, so I bought a blue hirsch 20mm instead
Fits well lah. The 1mm gap can't be seen unless you stare hard enough
The stitching is blue also, so everything blends in

Don't wear more xim tia for the croc who died for nothing.
Don't wear new strap only if you want to sell.

huh the croc died for e strap, den u dowan wear, like more xim tia right?

cause ah, if u go and buy one more, means the factory need make another one to replace the one u bought, means they need kill an additional croc leh

y xim tia? you dont want can sell me haha

Haha maybe I'll sell, maybe not
But the default strap and clasp quite nice. Put at home lah

Thanks for sharing your journey! Its a really exciting ride. From tudor to two rolexes!!! I must say your pictures of the black bay almost made me buy it over my real goal which is the SubC date. I believe lots of the brother here will agree with me. It started the bb craze. Really see bb left and right. Even seanie also bought it!!!!! Still cannot believe sia!!!!

Then must admire your flipping skills. Really another lvl. I can never see myself buying and selling watches like you, but good that it works for you.You must teach bro kashix how to do it. :s12:

Hope to see your AP RO soon ah. BBB MTL :s13:

actually I don't mind using the original strap but its too long for me (small wrist :() maybe i'll go down to FJB to get an additional hole punched. The clasp so nice, quite wasted to keep at home.

I go home then upload new pic
The strap I bought is same shade of blue but stitching is also blue instead of white, so now watch colour is uniform

And no, not selling the original strap and clasp
