Any thoughts on Seiko Astron vs Casio Oceanus vs Citizen Eco-Drive Satellite Wave?

citizen's gps tech is leader going by size and speed to connect to satellites. citizen is smaller and yet faster, and for the longest time relied on solar power aka eco drive, which is legendary imo.

oceanus is the new kid on the block, and casio has some fancy bluetooth to smartphone to gps uplink that is unique.

size and speed of gps update is still the main issue for gps watches. it takes about 20-25 secs to get an uplink, and the signal as you can imagine requires clear skies for a connection.

but its fun to see the watch connect to GPS satellites and the analog hands moving to a new time. the watch costs $1K - but you get access to a network and system that costs more than the most expensive patek or AP out ther lol.

i have a citizen satellite wave when i travel on business and recently added a g shock gps for holidays ;)

solar + gps = real innvoation = watch of the future

watch this if you have time (sexy music bonus!)

Bro I used to have the FF chrono. But really too chunky and big. The dial is too busy too. That's why I let it go and got this instead. :)

bro m0lecule, you not simple hor - white bread you also have? ;)
but you chose the bathyscape instead of the FF?

Thank you for the insight. Will look more into SAS watches :)

not to say that magrette does not, but sas has very thoughtful extra engineering designed into watch that you would normally find on the bigger watches. real value add beyond just cosmetics.
