What sort of watch you want?

Skip Fossil though.
Oh okay the intial reason why i said fossil because due to the skeletons parts design that attracted me but i have not went to any of the shop to try it on,what i worry is the durability.

Im looking for a watch that is suitable for casual and formal use..doesnt need very good water resisistant as i will not be wearing it to go for diving or swimming.
Hm you cant go wrong with seiko watches.

Can get automatics for that pricing. Seiko 5 if you want to save some cash.

Otherwise seiko divers are plenty skx series, seiko monster series

Otherwise consider orient watches ( related to seiko).
if seiko im looking at diver series.Any particular would u recommend for seiko 5 as the amount of models is huge.

I'll recommend this Orient, one of our bros here has it. It's $388 from Creation Watches.

i see i will take a look on it

Here's an article on watch movement supplier for Fossil

Bright future ahead, but dunno if the current supply of Fossil watches already started using STP.

But I think Fossil stocks of watches locally are quite overpriced (compared to Amazon / eBay), probably due to shopping mall rents. Can consider, but not from shopping centres bah.
well yup im kind of agree with you with the pricing on fossil watch that why im loooking at a alternative.

Seiko diver you can go for SKX007 for your budget. I find the design more versatile compared to say Tuna or Monsters.

An alternative is the Orient Bambino. Many versions but the v1 Gen 2 looks good. White dial variation can even pair well with a suit. :)

Haven't wore this for a while but you can take a look at the Seagull M182SK if you are looking at a skeleton.

fossil ah, ok lo their main selling point is wide range of design for a competitive price..

i used to buy fossil..but first watch, within 2 months the indices drop off liao..same thing happened for my 2nd fossil...

then i go buy armani xchange watch, se beh chio blue color de watch face..walao within 4-5months of usage, i sleep 8 hours, but the watch suddenly jump to 10hours ahead :s22: the date also forever sala... :s22: angry le so i hoot seiko...till now working 101% perfectly :o

so dont bother with all these fashion brands ba..go straight to seiko..

if u hoot fossil now, i can promise u within 6months, u will wanna buy a seiko liao :D

quite interesting..do u reckon fossil will produce watches of similar quality to say, seiko's basic line? (i.e. their sports 5 series or something like that) hmm..

Having owned both, I wouldn't say, quality-wise, a Fossil watch is better than a Seiko 5.

Fossil is a fashion watch after all. But the saving grace is that it is acutely aware of its quality problems as a fashion watch and taking steps to introduce higher quality movements into its future products.

The guy said he was attracted to the skeleton look, which I doubt that Seiko 5 has any offerings.

Bro, I think all of your underwater pics are out of focus. You may need to have more distance between your watch and cam. Move your cam further away. Hope you don't mind me saying :)
Trying out the cheap underwater cam for a week, the viewer only 2inch,very difficult to see if I got a clear image. Bro besides distance between object and cam what else should i take note of?

Anyone with skinny wrist owns a Sumo? I personally find sumo has the classiest design out of most of the diver watches

oops pai seh, i actually shifted away from the guy's question liao..

currently, fossil prob isn't at Seiko 5 level, but wondering if it will be there one day :o

anywya, even if it even reach there, it'll be hard to break out of its shell as a fashion watch :s13:

seiko ftw~!
