Same with automatic watches released by LV, Gucci, Prada, Ralph etc... not native watch makers.

Their watches are produced to make fashion statements. But that's just me...

Most of their watches are not worth looking at but there are some that do hold some horological value beside just branding. Thanks for your suggestion for jlc over this though ;)

I'm actually ok with Hermès compared to the other fashion brands like LV etc. 😁

Just because they are borne out of fashion provenance and they have be forever typecast as fashion watches?
They could have just plonk in cheap quartz movements and be done with it.
I feel sad for them as some of them have made serious investments in their horological portfolios.
Like RL, Chanel and montblanc are getting noticed for that, I feel that we have to see past their pedigree and appreciate their watches for what it is, but that's just me...
Of course we can argue whether it is "worth" the money since that is personal to everyone.
