been looking thru this thread and other forums trying to increase my knowledge but the more undecided I've become.. I think sometimes it's best to just take the plunge and live with the decision.. cant decide between Air King 116900 and Explorer series..

the Air King looks attractive but I cant wrap my head around the prominent minute scale, it looks confusing but the yellow crown and green rolex looks nice..

explorer is simple yet very niceeeeeeeeeeeeeeee..

why not this, http://i.imgur.com/io2FRU2.jpg

Anyone knows how many hours can an automatic watch remains its movement w/o wearing?

Or is it depend on the quality of the build?
Like Rolex can last super much longer due to its fine build as compare to other?

I really like jlc. Unfortunately, I think the designs look too refined for daily use. Feel wasted to have it left frequently in watch box.:(

Master compressor bro

Whenever I see someone with a jaeger, I always think he knows his stuff.

depends on energy stored which in turn depends on how much charge was provided before putting the watch to rest (depends on you) , and the maximum energy storage capacity (depends on the movement - if you reach it, it won't charge further)

with my GS I am able to go a complete weekend i.e. friday night to rest, monday morning on wrist to work. (my weekends are usually casual)

a bro already answered your question. also, you can google a lot of stuff that you dont know. is it that difficult?

normally after how many hours didnt wear, the automatic hands movement will stop?

How to check the energy level?

  1. unscrew crown
  2. turn time to 2210 - clockwise
  3. turn time to 0915 - anticlockwise
  4. turn time to 2115- clockwise
  5. turn time to 1010 - anti clock wise
  6. screw down crown
  7. unscrew crown again
  8. shake 3 times in left to right motion
  9. then shake 3 times in updown motion

then you'll hear a "ting"

1 "ting" ish 1 hour, total number of "ting" is total number of hours left in reserve

Kidding :o

Usually only watches with power reserve indicator can tell you how much power is left. example - this watch

If you'll doubtful of your watch power holding capability, google on how many turns of the crown is needed to fully wind your watch, wind it, set the time to a fixed whole hour and let it sit on your desk. check the time again when the watch come to a complete stop
.
