Need advise . What aftermarket strap should i use with this?

Was told that its bad if u leave it on the winder all the time.. last time i sent my watch for svcing the repair guy straight away knew i put it on a winder due to the wear on the movement. He advised if not wearing let it stop and wind it up once or twice a month only since its not some annual/perpetual calendar.

Tok cock confirm.. Very likely the winder setting is wrong thus overwind the watch.. U should know good winder can do settings bah.. I use winders since 15 years ago none of my watches need serving since and still running good.

+1. Most movement has a designed TPD. Be careful when buying winders that just state run for X min, rest for Y min, then repeat cycle. If u compute the number of turns per day, u might be surprised at how many times it is over winding your watch.

Obita website has a link to the designed TPD and direction for most automatic watches. ETA are designed for 650 TPD only.

Am facing a bit of a dilemma..I'm deciding if I should offload my Sea-Dweller for a Deepsea. I've gotten some feedback that the Deepsea will be better for me, but I'm not too hot on the thickness (the watch ah lol), especially in formal wear, and the "Gas Escape" & "Ring Lock" text on it.

I think the main factor that will make me stick with the Sea-Dweller is whether the size is just right for me as a diver watch, thus would like to humbly get some feedback.

I would keep the SDc. But if you were to get a DSSD, go for a D-blue and nothing less! Good luck!

I agree with many others here, the Sea-Dweller looks good on you, and like the Submariner, it blends in very subtly in casual or formal wear. The DSSD is bigger at 44mm, and the thickness makes it very outstanding.

However, I would definitely be interested to see if Baselworld 2017 introduces an anniversary edition for the Sea-Dweller, even a simple red text is enough to justify for a switch.

Thanks! At this point, my pro-Sea-Dweller sentiments are getting stronger and the Deepsea poison has subsided quite cobsiderably. Didn't realise it has been 50 years since the first Sea-Dweller was released! A red text and second needle Anniversary Edition would be the bomb, although the price would undoubtedly break the bank for me.

Too bad i dont have wrists to carry off the chunky ceramic subs and SDs for that bling look.. built like a tank for (desk) diving.
