Bro to be honest it was not a bait. But u listed reasons which the seamaster is superior to the speedy, so I was trying to illustrate if buying a watch is all about specs and no emotion is involved, seiko seems logical since it also perform almost all the things u listed at a fraction of price. But watch is a personal choice. Learn to accept others can like other watches for reasons of their own.

Lastly I had never use the chrono function for any serious thing to be honest. I am sure many bosses had also never use moon phase function, full 300 diving functions etc

tbh, i was in love with the speedy when i started on my humble watch hobby. everyone man and his pet says that the speedy is the entry luxury watch to get. almost even got one at a good price, but someone's trigger was faster than mine.

and a lucky thing too. cos i found out about its "deficiencies" later.

it's got a pretty face, no doubt about it!

looks busy, tachy (see what i did there with the pun on techy? ), satki with multiple dials and such.

but utterly useless to long-sighted uncle like me.

want to know the speed? that's what a speedometer that comes in every car is for, no? press push button on stopwatch for what. still have to find mile/km markers. and you need a co-driver to do that. you won't go around timing your speed with a chronograph while you're actually driving, do you?

come to think of it, that means a breitling navitimer is also out ah? drats!

The only chronograph I have ever used is on my G Shock at the gym...

But don't anyhow say k. I got use my 500m WR when I dive into 500m...
