Did you have to send in personally as well?

so it appears we must have a few watches in our drawer so that when the time comes to servicing, we have to have spares.

Also, it appears that buying from local AD also makes sense as they can send in for service/repair on our behalf.

No wonder people say that Gray Dealer price must be considerably cheaper to make sense unless its not available locally.

For me, not an option to fly back to sg to send via thong Sia. You can try buying in sg. Japan service office did inform I can send via their authorised dealers even if I never buy at the GS in Beijing. The AD will make the arrangement.

I have a problem - my wife is simple - does not go for fashion and stuff. How to buy my stuff this way?

I have to 'sneak'/hide my purchases for a while till it gets discovered and then tell her that these are not expensive watches.

Looks like I have to simplify - keep as few watches as possible, and maybe buy a FINAL* watch down the road.

as what Internet says,

when i die, pls do not let my wife sell my stuffs at the price i told her i buy.. :s13:

Pls go AD. Discount gao gao

Hullo thanks for reply! I did a search and the standard discount offered is 20% for Oris. I am looking at Aquis. Did check Gnomon watches have Oris Aquis too.

Was wondering if 20% discount is the minimum of what I should be looking at?

Hi all,

I called up LVMH and they advised me that watches under their brand portfolio without the dealer chop on the warranty card will not be serviced by them.

As such isn't it risky to buy such watches by grey dealers since there will be no dealer chop and rejected by service at LVMH even though one is willing to pay for the service.

Alamak.. Same problem as me. She rather spend the money to go travelling. So instead of buying a 4-5k Chanel, she said she want to go Tokyo/Melbourne/Istanbul/London etc.

Actually end up, I also got the same mindset. Went to Japan 4 times, but each time I wanna buy that GS, I'll think aiyah can use the money to go Tokyo again. Next time can buy. But end up never buy!! Lol!!

I don't quite understand your problems because my wife always lets me buy whatever I want. :s12:

You trade a watch each time for a travel experience with wife!

Very pricey! :s13:

Keeping a wife happy is indeed expensive :s13:

That's quite ridiculous... then an expat that relocated from U.K. or US cannot get his watches serviced?

guys, currently looking at Seiko 5 SNK795(like it's red second hand) to pair with a basic Colareb band. What's your opinion on these? Are there any better match? It's for my wife, she has a 5.5inch wrist. Budget is USD 120~150

TIA

Get the SNK from Lazada, cheaper.. Remember to use coupons.

As to whether the size is good, it really depends on your wife's preferences. If she cares about the usual theory, the lug to lug length should not extend beyond the width the wrist when the watch is on you, so this also depends on how flat your wrist shape is.

Can also look at Orient, but the lady designs are a bit too glittery for me. The men dress watch sizes are mostly 40mm upwards, I think, until you hit Orient Star.
