late to the party...

but it's one hot & handsome watch that is a MUST HAVE in any collection, imho...

saw one on display. the price wasn't outrageous, so i finally pulled trigger on my own brand new, 1st hand, authorized agent, special edition PADI co-branded seiko srpa21k1 local set with white outer box, black PADI prospex presentation inner box, roman numeral day wheel, 4r36 instruction manual, worldwide guarantee booklet, certificate of guarantee, PADI hang tag, prospex hang tag & seiko price tag...

everything aligns perfectly! the hour markers and rotating bezel both line up precisely to the rehaut/chapter ring hash marks. which is why i didn't hesitate to snag this set before it disappears (i've even seen some AD presentation sets with obvious alignment issues!... you really have to eyeball the dial carefully under a loupe before you buy).

despite a 45mm diameter case size, the turtle wears smaller, like a 40mm, given its smaller dial. short lugs contribute to a sensible lug-to-lug length, and together with its upward sloping lower case profile, the turtle wears extremely comfortably even as you flex your hand up & down at your wrist.

currently i dun wear watch, which is quite weird, the ppl i meet usually have daytona/hublot (mostly indians)

so basically i dun wear watch, i wanna get 1 watch to not look weird, and doesnt want to get ripped off or conned. Hopefully the bros here can guide me some tricks to maximize my cash

How does the strapcode bracelet feel? Care to do a review?

The links and endlinks are solid and of good quality.

But the deployant is a bit flimsy.

If you do not really need the solid end links, i think can buy cheaper ones on eBay.

Personally i think it's a waste of money to buy something that I do not use, which is why I want to max the dollar.

Hopefully I can get something I wouldn't cry about and maybe kick start a hobby, but I guess it's a little too expensive for me right now.

I guess I will walk into AD and take a look around this weekend.

Not much difference between this and the 2015 release.

New one has the vintage Speedmaster applied logo and the awesome Speedmaster vintage font. Those small details changes it up a lot for me.
