While it does not HAVE TO match.. it's one of those things that cannot be unseen once noticed.. That's when a bracelet watch comes in handy.. though that would, strictly speaking, not qualify as a dress watch.

Also strictly speaking, for the most formal occasions, socks should be plain and dark, matching either the pants or shoes.

But really, no one cares about 'strictly speaking', espec in SG. So just wear what you fancy and YOLO!

recently a VVIP got a daytonaC at retail locally, also take out and flip it to my friend for 24.5k

money talks. the rest don't matter here in singapore. either you're a VVIP, if not you will never get it.
if have, must be damn lucky as its being displayed.

is that your first patek? or have you spent with them numerous time?

i got a friend who managed to get a 5712 at retail, he is extremely lucky. got a call and went down to pay. doesn't come by often.

Move on if you can't buy it at retail. To me, it doesn't make sense to buy a piece at inflated price unless you sold your family heirloom before, and wanted to buy it back now

There are so many attractive watches out there at discounted price. I have posted them before in my previous posts. There is absolutely no need to buy the "popular" models now

The trick is to move on. It's all in the mind

i do believe that there is a must buy watch - that's a goal, not a end game.
the real pieces that i want are definitely not in the popular segment.
if you only seek for alternatives, you will never scratch the itch for the thing you really want.

Sometime u buy alternatives which are not true love, flip here flip here and lose here lose there

In the end U still go for true love, maybe spend more than if u just upfront accept the premium and move on if it is within ur acceptable range

The value of the watch differ person to person hahha watch collecting is never rational

So impt is know ur own limit. can wait or can afford then both ways of waiting or buy premium are ok
