Hi, any views on skagen watches? I saw a simple skagen watch that looks like tissot visodate.. And it's only eur99... So am thinking of getting it.. But not sure whether is it too pricy as compared to sin..

Very classic looking watch. Nice clean dial with unique etched texture. And of course, well-built and fine workmanship. Feel of the watch is pretty sturdy and solid.

i felt that the ball trainmaster eternity is a nice looking watch.

build quality, design and movement everything is ok.

cannot get pass the word ball and 30 metres on the dial.

the designer who did the 30m WR on the dial reeks of idiocy.

not sure if who is it intended for, but a normal person would not even dive or swim with the watch and even if the watch was taken down to 30m in a scuba trip, i think water could penetrate past the gaskets and flood the movement.

on the other hand, if the watch was meant to showcase the capabilities of a dress watch, many other dress watches have a WR of 30m and beyond too.

no sane person should want to wear a watch designed by an idiot.

Danish? It's as authentically "Danish" as Haagen-Dazs...

Skagen was founded in Reno, Nevada, USA in 1989, by a Danish couple who moved to the US in 1986. Manufacturing was outsourced to HK/China. The company was purchased by Fossil in 2012, so now, it's a fashion brand owned by another fashion brand.

Wow, looks not bad...and for sure a lot more expensive!
erm, I think this is a good example of a bad open heart. The window looks tacked on, instead of being an organic part of the dial. And having a rectangle on one side and a circle subdial on the other destroys any hope of symmetry that the dial might aspire to.

So most people here buy watches is go Malaysia to buy, at the official brand shops? How much cheaper than if buy in SG official shop or citychain etc? I have a thing for watches I guess.. haha. But not elite enough now to get the ex brands so I go for style to suit myself and affordability.

Buying from US cheaper too? Have relatives there, my last watch bought (<$300) was about half price in US. Not sure if the more upmarket brands are much cheaper than in SG.
