Finally back in the hotel. The visit to Jack Road and Kame-Kichi was a real eye opener.

I've got more pictures of the cordial gentleman serving us and pictures of the shop, but for some strange reason, uploads are really slow.

Enjoy!

I am really looking forward to my Japan trips now!

Would be better if the 116505 back is transparent but so far never see a Rolex with a transparent back case........................:s8:

afaik Rolex doesn't make transparent backs. they are available aftermarket at JW though. the rolex movement isn't decorated so not that nice to look at anyway.

Really nice hoot you have there :)

Yeah yattokame...I agree with you that rolex sub has many homages in the market...

While I was in KL midvalley, I saw an Invicta watch similar to Rolex blue sub...

And 2 days ago when I walked past the Seiko AD at Vivo, I saw a GS watch on display which looked almost like the rolex black sub...

My visit to golden landmark wasn't long... definitely will go back again to try on a few subs.

Actually the sub was sort of copied from the blancpain fifty fathoms.

The sub and most dive watch design is functional. The 0-15min markings are usually different, and the bezel only rotates in one direction. For diving purposes.

Also saw this dievas or dunno what brand look so much like a sub.

yeap hwaa... i think this was the design i saw at Vivo...

won't say its homage to rolex sub but when I walked past the AD and at first glance through the display window, imo it look a little bit like sub. :s13: and that was what attracted me to go up to take a closer look.

this GS diver tbh look so much better irl compared to photos...but i guess must be all the spotlight shining onto it =:p

Strange, I put both single and two-way winding rotor watches into my 45 deg sloped winder and they get wound well.
what watches u putting in? How's their rotors, stiff?

A ball, fortis or seagull. All ok on the left rotor...

try the watches and see how it "speaks" to you. if the black sub on SS is good on you, take it. you won't go wrong with it.

Agree on this, for a first Rolex the black sub should be the ideal choice.

Can be worn for all occasions. Formal/casual wear also can match
