Sure it is. Love what you like and buy. 1 man's meat is another's poison. To you it may be just a watch to tell time, day and date. To others, time may be well precious to them or they appreciate the finer things in life. Your choice.

I have been a long time lurker on this thread and I finally need to seek your advice.

Is it worth getting a BNIB Japan AD MM300 for around 2k?

I have been thinking really hard if it is worth it.

Btw, I have previously owned both sumo and blumo before selling them off and I really liked them. The only issue with them was that 20mm lug widths is not proportional to the size of the watch so I was wondering if it also applies to MM300 since it also has 20mm lug width.

I would think about resale value because I want to minimize losses while reaping the maximum benefits from buying and wearing the watch. In addition, I never know when I would get sot by another wrist candy and have to sell before acquiring it.

But that shot of the MM300 is really stunning so I guess I am just going to jump the gun and get it.

But just one more question, does any owners (or former) of MM300 feel that its 20mm lug width is too small for its shape/ case?

wearing it in good health is already maximizing the full benefits of a watch lol.
if you want to hoot another, just save up and hoot.
don't have to sell unless absolutely need to.

FWIW, the lug width dont bother me much, and i dont own a MM300

TGIF guys!

Got a call from Horolab that my Saxonia rdy for collection! Service and polish 2 weeks down time only! props to them.

Chat awhile with the friendly guys there. Learnt abit more. Apparently there are only 6 certified watch makers in Singapore. 2 in horolab, 1 in Richemont SC, 1 in PP SC another 2 I forget rdy. What the title "watch maker" means im not really sure and didn't ask further but IMO I think is like getting a degree in watch making whereby the person gets himself certified through legitimate means and having so few really signifies a lot about this title.

Maybe fellow bro can shed some light on this?

I asked why wasn't the back of the buckle polish. They told me that it will polish of the stamped logo which is important for the authenticity of the buckle. I always wondered what the stylised B means, and he told me that the buckle was made by a company call Boucledor SA. They also did IWC buckles as well. The B is their logo. learn something new everyday!

Watches that grows in value are probably out of many people's reach. I think when people ask for resale value, I don't think they meant profit but how much value the watch can retain when the owner intends to sell.

Why buy a watch when u intend to sell? Its certainly not in the bottom tier in your hierarchy of needs when you have that mentality. The lost u made when u sell the watch is simply your opportunity cost.

The lost is what you pay for the period of owning the watch. Paying for the opportunity.

Btw, i'm really curious about why people ask for resale value here. Laziness? All so tech savvy, google or browse through dealer website you shld be able to gauge yourself what.
