I dont have alot alot of monies, i have some but really dont want to spend too much, want to save for stormy days yet look atas. Been thinking alot on the rolex sub these days, almost on my mind drooling over the hulk but the thought of the $11k... scared.

Is tudor atas enough? Or a 2nd class version of rolex? Initially thought of tag aquaracer but some bro said topup abit get a tudor.

Buy what you can afford comfortably... Tudor atas? No.. Rolex atas? Not really too. No watch but bank account 6 digits for your age is atas.. In the end it's a whole package.. Get atas car to match.. Then all designer wear.. Then Amex centurion.. Can catch up?

If have to think about a few thousand dollars watch... Anything also not atas... Make your money first

Nothing wrong with tag as well... To me all the watches u choose seems sama sama to me

The problem with all the pilots I've seen is that they all look very similar so not one really jumped out at me and scream "buy me". I think I'll get a diver first and then slowly explore the various pilots out that.

Endured hellish traffic jam to johor..
Freaking 3 and half hours between 2nd link bridge to Malaysia customs...
Saw a few cars breakdown making the jam worst.
Pple peeing at the roadside
Entire afternoon burnt.

Reached johor outlets at 6pm plus and straight to the watch shop.
Snagged this aqua terra, no fancy mechanical movement.
quartz version for 7K plus MYR after 10% discount ..

For those interested.
Auto stainless steel versions going for 17K plus MYR before 10%off.
( Co-axial 8500 movement),
master co-axial aqua terra going for 19K plus MYR.

James bond limited edition 23K MYR with no discount at all.

Hardly buy quartz but really dig the look of the watch

Think got some more but cant remember

There are speedies and PO's around so are the de-villes and constellations.

They are having bigger discounts on some models from their penang branch which is closing down ( some PO models) Johor outlets trying to offload some models sent over from Penang outlet.

I have finally bought my first Automatic watch, and I am bugged by this constant losing/gaining of seconds, or my watch stopping to work entirely just because I left it there for tens of hours... now I finally understand why some people actually wear watches at home. Because I usually do not wear my watch and just look at wall clock at home.

I understand that mechanical/automatic watches can never be as accurate as Quartz watches. Well most of the time I actually wear digital watches, and I enjoy being accurate to the second. With my automatic, from the morning to afternoon, I realise it is already like 3 to 4 seconds slower than my other Quartz watch. The maintenance and constant winding, setting of time, seems a little troublesome to me.

To most of you who have like more than 10 watches, don't you find that having to keep setting the time... a little troublesome, especially if you rotate the watches? I guess most of you here are more concerned over the design, aesthetics, whether matching with what you wear, the movement, smooth turning of the crown, able to last generations because it's purely mechanical, and ATAS feel (e.g. owning a Rolex), etc. instead of time accuracy (well this is in Fashion section anyway).

Okay, hope you all don't mind some 2-cents from a watch noob

say U have 3 mistress (they do not chew other head off or ask u for $$ but give u $$) and U loved them and enjoy the fun... would U find it troublesome and painful to travel from 1hr to have fun?

Okay lah, I understand different watches give different enjoyable experiences. Well honestly I'm still quite impressed that I can entirely power my watch with my energy, feels like a part of yourself

As for punctuality, yes, usually I am not late, and go early for meetings. Well nope, I'm not doing anything mission/time critical, perhaps it's the initial hype that I'm getting a less accurate watch after spending relatively more

For those automatic watch with date, put them in a watch winder. Adjust the time if necessary (more than a min difference) in the morning when u put on the watch.

For me is ok. I can wear a "dead watch" and walk to bus stop board the bus. Inside the bus then I slowly wind and adjust my beloved watch hahaha.

Think next time if I ever drive I probably wind it at those long traffic lights haha

I'm looking to get a couple of seiko later, thinking that Bencoolen might be a good place to start. Any particular shops in there that Bros here will recommend? Or any shop that you will recommend that is not in Bencoolen? Thanks all!
