anyone managed to get custom ringtones/alarm tones for their redmi? i put in the correct folder but my fone cant seem to pick it up when i setting the tones..

yes i did restart my phone after transferring the files in, media would have been scanned already..

I noticed that the built-in ringtones are OGG files ? Is that the only format which it accepts ?

Which folder did you put your ringtones in ?

But seriously, it will technically be available at Starhub or Singtel tomorrow and there will be another Xiaomi sale on their website Xiaomi Singapore at 12pm tomorrow. If you want to get it online, make sure you signed up for a xiaomi account, log in before 12pm and make sure you refresh your web browser on the dot and order. You will either need a paypal account or a credit/debit card to order.

Last Friday, it was reported that the phone sold out in SG within 8 minutes.

I have not experience that problem. It looks like maybe it did not detect the earphone jack. Try wriggling it around and see if it works.
