U can opt for the 2x top up cards n resell the cards at cost price.

Sell to who? U wana buy at cost price? Cos I was thinking who want buy from u at cost price when they can buy from anywhere else at the same price? Surely ppl will ask for discount no?

Too bad I don't know of anyone using pre paid cards so it's totally useless to me. Even sell online will also make a loss..Plus wasting time n money to travel to mbs somemore, don't seem like a good deal.
So maybe will have to hoot from xiaomi itself and wait for delivery instead, unless the other 2 telcos can give a better deal which is just pure $169 without strings attached...

Anyone check the papers yet for promos?

Unless you have something else to get from the fair, I don't think it is worth to travel all the way down, rub shoulders with the crowds and queue up for the phone. If they have limited stock, it might be a wasted trip there.

I did check the papers and starhub is the only one which explicitly advertised the redmi. Maybe singtel is not ready or it rather advertise the more expensive phones with plans.

any idea if i use a sim card adaptor for a micro SIM, will it work?

Yes. In fact you no need a sim adapter. Just slid the sim into the tray with the metal contact point will do.

I done that with my micro sim without any issue.

But make sure you put a tape on top. To prevent the sim from stuck too deep into the tray.

they might not allow w/o contract purchases on shows but can try asking.

Yeah it looks like post paid contracts only. The prices do not look attractive for a contract.
