Phones in China don't use Google apps or playstore. The Redmi in Singapore is tailored for the Singapore market, so Xiaomi has probably preinstalled Google Apps for the Singapore market.

But since you bought yours from qoo10, which is probably a supplier in China, the phone he has is the China version without Google. He has to install Google specially for you.

I think it's worthwhile to pay the $10. In order to install Google apps, he probably has to first install a custom recovery (probably CWM). This custom recovery will later allow you to flash all sorts of custom roms you can find on the net. Very useful, once you've figured out how to use it.

i have ordered xiaomi from Qoo10 but they charged $10 for root + google play store service. Does this phone comes without it? i have check the specs of Xiaomi come with google play store so why we need to pay $10 to you to do the service? does any one know why?

Technically no need playstore nor Googleapps.
Practically all apps are available at alternative AppStores.

And how to.solve it?

the problem was becoz the phone software is not program to handle sms without proper numbers

solution: delete the previous OTP sms, as it is only able to receive only 1

I have contacted UPS and they say that most likely, it will only be delivered tomorrow. Im not sure how true is it, but just in case there are some of you who are anxiously waiting too.

Thanks for the info. From previous order, mine arrived Singapore on a Monday (showing Singapore Departure scan), goods arrive home on Tue. So when you see Destination Scan would means good arrived UPS facility waiting to be shipped.

If you are familiar with purchasing on aliexpress, you would know that those Aliexpress sales which you have posted are all fake sales and just advertisements.

When you click onto the seller and see what other things he sells and at what prices, you will get the hint.

In addition, these phantom sellers have zero sales track record and zero feedback.

The roughly average price of Lenovo A880 on aliexpress is about US$160 (S$220) which you know is just about right if you are familiar with the prices of various phones of different specifications on aliexpress.

China use TD-SCDMA for 3G but most of the phones sold on aliexpress is WCDMA for 3G because the target customers of Aliexpress are outside China.

WCDMA is the most commonly used outside China.

Singapore use WCDMA for 3G and so there is no problem to buy phones from aliexpress.

However, on aliexpress, there are still a small number of phones which is not WCDMA.

So better to check the listed specification first before clicking buy.

Either purchase from Xiaomi Store Singapore or telecom (think all out of stock long long time ago since IT Show). The rest should be mostly parallel import which is WDMA version for China/Taiwan/HK market. Now only Singapore is selling the international version which will have Play Store pre-installed.
