The GPS bug surfaced on my device last night, I realized that it is about EXACTLY 1 month since my first power on, might have something to do a a monthly housekeeping that it was designed to so? Regardless, the GPS will auto turn on even when I manually shut it off. Screen captures are attached in the link. I suggest those whom are genuinely interested to seek solutions in this issue to make your experience known in the attached thread as it is nobody's interest or position in HWZ that will be working to resolve new bugs.

Hi, thanks for the link. I have confirmed the problem in that page and hopefully the XiaoMi team will look into the issue. Seems like a number of users are facing this problem.

yeah did that, got an app with an "8" icon, works pretty well. Got notifications when matches are starting.



see page one. once rooted, install apps like System App Remover. I used the one with red rubbish bin. You have to mess with it, you're bound to run into problems. Ask again when u do.

I bought a redmi from deal.com.sg and my set has no google play store installed, I believe this batch is for China market.

I have checked with cpu-z app and the specs all appear genuine. Imei numbers all match.

Any advice on how to install google play store much appreciated! Or can anyone help me flash to local version.

From what I know you cannot flash CN/TW/HK version to the original SG Rom as the ROM partition for SG is different to accommodate Google's service. (Unless they release the flash tool for SG ROM) But however, there is a ported SG Rom that you can use, but you need to using TWRP on your device.

or if you just want google play store, the easier way that doesn't require root would be to go to MiStore, search Google installer. that app can install Google services, but the play store doesn't really work that great and crashes at time.

Anyone have problem on link2sd? I have rooted my phone and grant root permission to link2sd however after I move my apps to sd it doesn't appear in my sd, although it stated move to sd successful

How I determine, I use system app remover, when I go into my sd I can't see any of my app which I move over previously, instead system app remover able to perform app move to sd without any problem

Has anyone transfer files from/to phone to PC?
I tried to transfer some songs from my desktop, but unable to my PC unable to detect my RedMi.
Read up some manuals from internet, but cannot find this options to turn on the USB.
Can someone enlighten me please?

i experienced the same thing in link2sd, can keep on selecting move to sd but they still show up on internal. also, i noticed after i put in an sd card, that sd card becomes sdcard0 and the phone internal becomes sdcard1 (in my previous phone the external sd is sdcard1). i haven't figured out what's the effect of this though

Same here, before I put my sd card into the slot, sdcard0 is the internal after I put my sd card to the slot, now my internal is sdcard1 and sdcard0 is my microsd

So did you manage to move it using link2sd and it shows up in your microsd instead or internal?

nope, couldn't do the native app2sd move using link2sd. after doing the move i filter by "On SD" but nothing shows up. haven't tried system app remover. but I created ext3 partition in my micro sd so i use link2sd to link the app files there.

I used system app remover after I move app to sd, when I go and navigate to my sd, my app is moved to my microsd, whereby link2sd can't even though it can move but seems like never move at all, I wondering is it a bug or the microsd format
