I think you must feedback. What happens your package gets into the wrong hands. Yes they cannot prove that they delivered but it will be a long drawn process.....

I received my redmi today at 2plus. i am quite piss with ups. i wasn't at home, no one at home. that delivery guy just put the parcel in between my metal gate n wooden gate!!!

OMG so many phones how to choose

2 months ago Redmi was the best bang for the buck. Now got Zenfone 5 at 199 with pre-order as well as word of Huawei Honor 3c with 2gb ram in msia, mi3 also drop price and Xiaomi prolly preparing a new line up of even better phones. Really dunno what to get. Any advice? I already received my Redmi today but did not open the packaging in case I want to sell and get the Zenfone instead. The only issue with the Redmi I feel is the 4gb rom is too little for apps, what do Redmi users think? Also I read about problems with the Redmi like gps and sms problems (from banks). Should I jump ship to Zenfone? Maybe another month another better phone come out I wouldnt be surprised.

Hi.

Each to his own.

Every phone has its own pros and cons.

Even Android os has it own plus and minus.

Go with whatever phone you like.

Personally, I am very happy with my Redmi other than some minor flaws here and there.

Buying a new phone is a vicious cycle nowadays.

Two months down the road, a better and cheap phone will emerge in the market.

What will you do?

Well, once you decide on which phone to buy, enjoy it and no regrets.

By the way, I ditched my iPhone 5s for Redmi.

Till now, I am still a happy Redmi user and no regrets.

Cheers.

Hi.

I do agree that UPS sucks.

I was not at home.

They called me and asked me whether it was OK to pass the parcel to my neighbour.

Luckily, the parcel consists of only phone accessories.

So I said OK.

But if it is an iphone, I will tell them to redeliver when I am at home.

Cheers.

Me too was a hardcore iphone user, redmi converted me to android. Probably bcos the UI looks a bit like iphone so the transition is easier

I was in Phuket for a few days and used my new Redmi for the first time. The dual-Sim works great - the Thai prepaid card on slot 1 (giving me access to data via 3G) and my Spore Sim on slot 2. When making phone calls, you can select which Sim to use. However when it comes to SMS, there is no Sim choice; I think all my SMSes went via my Spore Sim!
(Edit: I found out what caused this problem - my phone was set to use Hangouts for SMS and this did not have the option to select which SIM; if I had used the preinstalled Messenger app, then I would not have encountered this problem)

Wifi worked well in the hotel.

I also got the GPS searching bug!

You mean no option to select which SIM to send SMS? I think even with mobile data SIM you can still send SMS.

Yes, my error - for using Hangouts as the default for SMS. If I had used the preinstalled Messenger, then the option of which SIM to use would have appeared on the bottom of the screen. Thanks.

I think there is a option to select which sim to send sms. Remembered saw that on my friend Redmi.

In some locations it may take up to a minute to get GPS lock. Were you outdoors or indoors?
