sadly, no backlight; i suspect many still don't know; this is the only major minus of budget phones at this level

Xiaomi Redmi, entire Asus Zenfone range, Huawei Honor 3C & 3X all have Home, Menu, Back keys that don't light up Just check youtube videos, then watch closely as the keys remain unlit

if it really costs so much to put in backlight, then they should just use onscreen buttons, e.g. Motorola Moto G.

Onscreen button will cause the actual display to be smaller
