I'm using note but should be the same for xiaomi phones. Go to setting, display and look for default launcher. Select the one you want and you should see it turns orange.

You might want to post in Redmi note thread. This is for Redmi 1. Anyway I don't have that issue with location but I didn't test GPS.

im already on the verge to break my 1s
terrible performance
1gb ram only ard less than 200 are useable
once i start to load up some apps other apps will be kill

but if u use for call, whatsapp, sms...its more than enough
other than that for get it

i tried using headphones (non-Xiaomi ) but cant be used, sound still come out from the bottom sound grill. is it must use xiaomi headphones to xiaomi phones?

but you need to plug in and out alot of times
and dont be surprise when half way u listen, the earphone will not be detected...

Problem with Note is 1 SIM card vs 2 on 1s. Another problem might be the size, not sure if I would like to have 5.5" for a normal daily use. Also both have 3G only, they don't support 4G.

Any info on when their upgraded models are going to be available?

Singtelshop.com show prices only with contract plans, no cash or prepaid option. Redmi 1s has 3G only capability it seems, so it doesn't matter if you change your sim to 4G or not.

You can get the Redmi 1s for $169 with either a prepaid top-up of $20 or new prepaid card from Singtelshop.
