starting to get pissed off by the phone. install few apps only say no space. everyday will hang and have to restart. want to use smart band with it also cannot because of android version issue. sigh.

i own both and i dont see any improvement on redmi 1s to justify the switch

i think you should wipe your phone and reinstall version 19 or 16

Redmi 1S has 8GB storage with 4+ GB available for use and comes with Android 4.3 . Should be sufficient.

Ok, just bought already after much consideration. Now waiting for it to. Hope it can last me much more longer time with it extra additional 500 mAh... then no need so ma fan have to bring powerbank when out or use the emergency cable and borrow my friend handphone to "borrow" his/her battery power using it.

Hi lately my Redmi 1 cant get into playstore, I uninstall & reintall but whenever i hit playstore it will try to go in but than goes back to homepage again.

Yes I also had playstore issue when install to ver 26, would like to know how to reinstall older ver tks.

Hm.. For me I might just purchase another battery (troublesome to do battery swap but it's cheaper and more lasting in a way) @$5/- from Xiaomi site. I would prolly wait for the sale and ask someone to lobang instead of paying the additional $5/- delivery fee.

personal advice: stay on v16 and wait for better roms

Does Redmi 1S have any ROMS that is able to enable 3G with SIM2 or switch 3G active from Sim 1 to Sim 2 & vice versa - similar to MIUI Ultimate ROM (by Sta-s2z)for Redmi1 - en.miui.com/thread-13092-1-1.html

I don't want to manually change the sim cards when I surf using SIM 2. Appreciate any advice. Thanks

Yea, i notice the long freezing lag around the last few update too... Happen especially after i just clean up the device using cleaner or clean master. And the long waiting horrible lag happens in the dialer when calling someone. Where the call screen takes time to showup. Also when the phone switches from wifi to 3g or vice versa, lags would occur when launching apps that require internet connection for example, whatsapp. I really hope xiaomi could reduce all these lags on future updates "from miui forum

It's not a Rom issue. The SIM slots are hardwired.

They are essentially the same model, just some internal parts changes.
The soft case is just like a jacket to your phone, doesn't need to remove original back case.
