I got the Mi Note 4G a few weeks ago, pretty good but for a few days I can't close the music player in the background, when I slide down from top for the tab options, the music player stays at the top, how to close the app?

1) There are many ROMS which one I should use?

HM1W-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip (6.12 MB, Downloads: 9807)
HM1TD-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip (6.12 MB, Downloads: 1957)
HM1SG-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip (6.12 MB, Downloads: 7615)
· root-stable.zip (1.37 MB, Downloads: 12746)

2) It will install old ROM MIUI V5 version 13.0 ROMs. But My device already have latest MIUI-JHBMIBL29.0. So how to get latest root?

These are the 2 files you need to copy to your sdcard.

HM1SG-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip
root-stable.zip

It doesn't affect whatever ROM (MIUI or other release) on your Redmi. With TWRP, one can try out other ROM release if need be.

Looks like I need some help.

I copied the files in Phone. i.e when I plug in the USB cable, windows explorer Indicated Two Folder
1) Phone Storage
2) SD Card.

I copied the files HM1SG-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip and root-stable.zip in Phone Storage.

Then rebooted the Android in recovery mode. Followed instruction by Selecting Recovery <<

Then Selected apply update from SD Card

when I selected root-stable.zip << nothing happens
So I selected HM1SG-TWRP-2.5.0.0-stas2z.zip <<

Saw Installing Update...
It completed.

The rebooted device.

Half way through reboot. I removed the battery.
After 10 seconds inserted battery and rebooted in Recovery mode.

Again I saw Recovery << Normal and Fastboot option.

Not TWR menu.
If I boot normal without recover phone just boots normal.

What should I do?

Bro, you need to go thru the guide accordingly. Need to install TWRP first and use it to install root-stable.zip

After installing TWRP, reboot and you'll see the normal recovery menu, select recovery will bring you to TWRP menu.

I completed steps

By using the on screen back button, go back to the main screen, select REBOOT and click on SYSTEM.

But After reboot, even in recovery I am not getting the following Steps

Click on DO NOT FIX, and your phone should now reboot and when booting is finished you’ll be able to see a new icon has appeared on your screen, the SUPERSU apk.

Thanks Albert. It installer TWRP. Because after booting in recovery mode I can see the TWRP UI. Then I install root-stable.zip.

Then select reboot--> System

I do not get the following Screen

How to I fix?

Ignore the last screen, do you see the SuperSU icon? Also apps like AnTuTu will indicate that you have root access.

Anyone upgraded to JHACNBL29.0? It seem like there is a bug with language, all my music file with Korean filename all become blank which formerly was okay on JHACNBH26.0. That is just great, "thanks" Xiaomi for creating extra work for me, got to find workaround or downgrade back.

luckily never update, ytd just prompt me to update, version 16 and 26 quite good smoother operation~
