it's not an upgrade. You need to wipe data, cache, dalvik and then install

use titanium backup to save your apps..

who in his right mind would buy a 1S nowadays unless superoffer like a hundred or so..

Lazada having a flash sales today for Redmi 2 (export set) at $155. Finger very itchy now, feel like hooting one set :D

Apparently this doesn't work for me. The update was done via Android system recovery. Did a "wipe data/factory reset" first follow by update from SDcard but got this error "Invalid partition setting" with installation aborted. Try updating back to v26 and it worked. So can only conclude this ROM pack doesn't work on Redmi 1 SG set, have yet to try using TWRP.

it worked on my redmi 1S sg set

I used twrp 2.8.4.0

played with it a bit only but felt it was too "heavy" so i changed to CM11 r19 and WOW JUST WOW..

sorry my bad you were quoting me on the one i posted for REDMI 1 MEDIATEK not REDMI 1S SNAPDRAGON (I used to have both now only left with 1S as backup/testing phone)

you want the miui 6 beta for 1S i give you the link

Well, this thread is suppose to be on Xiaomi Redmi 1 but overtime it became a bit off-topic with discussion on other Redmi model as well. I don't own the 1S so it useless to me, guess I have to wait for the official Miui v6 release.
