Local set have always been on SG ROM

That one is meant for CN and will not work on SG set.

Shouldn't be the case as Updater app is pulling the ROM pack from Xiaomi server. Also there is no announcement on when the official Miui v6 is available for Redmi 1.

What was your previous ROM version before the update? And could you list the actual ROM filename (look under "downloaded_rom" folder) that was used to update to v6.

I already deleted the 600 plus MB file
Cos the SD Card is 1GB you cannot update without SDCard and I need to make space after update (not my phone)
Previous version was 31

Too bad, thought I can simply download it from their server. Look like I have to update to 31 again (currently on 26) to verify if this is the reason.

Told you already they do release their updates in batches that is not to overload the servers.
I had the same experience for my 1S, got the update after everyone got theirs
You will get it soon enough.
Didn't knew I was the first to get it if not I would not delete that zip...

If what you said is true, I wonder how they know which batches to release to? Anyway, hope this is the reason as this update is way way overdue.

Well, if you could recall the actual filename of the ROM, can simply download from their server.

That might be the case but for SG rom.. how many of us are there(small market/low volume)....

Agreed, doesn't made sense to hold back and delay the release any longer. So far there is no discussion on this update in Miui forum and only 1 or 2 mentioned it in Chinese forum site, and of course 1 hwzer here.

All I can say is Xiaomi f***-up again, first with empty promises on the release date and now this!

By the time this v6 update is made available, it would have been obsolete given that Miui v7 developer ROM is now available for testing!
