Hi Andrew,

Would you be able to reflect some feedback and requests to Thecus? I think it would be good for us to gather some wishlist or requests. Thanks!

1. iSCSI SCSI3 Persistent Reservations enablement. This is useful for people who wanna play with W2K8 clustering.

2. SSH shell enablement. For those who wanna play around in the shell

Clarifications needed:

1. When we do changes to the iSCSI storage, for example adding of iSCSI LUNs or modifying some info, will the iSCSI information get disrupted for a moment or something?

Let me send your wishlist to Thecus.

Hi Andrew,

Will it be possible to check if Thecus allows user to upload their version of the embedded linux into the NAS storage? I guess that means the warranty will be void too.

I've a N2200 and a HP LaserJet 1100 (parallel port). I wonder if I could get a USB parallel printer adapter and hook it up to N2200 as a network printer? Think there's a compatibility list somewhere, but I can't find it for N2200 at Thecus website.

Has anyone try something like this before?

I have a n2100 from 2 years ago. I am not proficient with network type stuff, but my average transfer write speeds range from 21 to 12 MB/s .. is that typical for products like this? I really cant stand it and if I were to build a system on my own will I achieve far greater speeds?

and yeah this n2100 is freaking loud

I'm a new joiner to the Thecus family. I've got the n0503. Just finished raiding it. still configuring / playing around.
for those interested, i used Azureus for the BT. the module was created by someone.
Link here

I managed to hit >600kB/s this afternoon on Singtel's 10mbps plan.

I too got my N0503 last week and have been fiddling with it since.
However when I transfer my files to the Raid5, it averages 3-5 MB/s.

Seems a little slow or is there something I am missing?

Its 3 x 1TB Samsung F3, I am using

I am using N3200Pro. The default Download Manager and Download Manager version 2 cannot make it in term of bit-torrent speed compared to my PC. Is there a better BT module for N3200Pro out there?
