Over-masturbation or over-ejaculation converts too much testosterone into dihydrotestosterone(DHT). to me, doctor are the worst person to ask. they follow text box science unless the doctor have alot of experience with a particular drugs. i can tell you what most doctor will say about propecia too. but in real world, thing is differrent. drug company always try to paint a rosy picture and i believe more or less, they will twist the result of the trial to a better picture.
for propecia, the side effect rate is being given @ 1-2%. most user do believe that the figure is higher then that. that are alot of gray area. for example people dropping out of the phase III FDA trial. what the reason they drop out? i do believe some dropped out is due to side effect and those are reported as drop out only but the reason we will never know.

so you are trying to say doctor cant be trusted ? how about civilians like us? do u have enough knowledge? how about generic propecia? what is the content? can it be trusted? or reliable? no right? no one can gurantee anything? is cheap. how about the content? just because it is cheap? how safe is order online ?

i not saying doctor can't be trusted. most doctor can only go as far as text book science. if you want to know any particular drugs in detail, you will be better off doing your own research. in the context of finasteride. yes, i can safety say i have more knowledge in this particular drug then alot of doctor. tried and proven from my experience in visiting doctor. if you have to explain to them why finasteride techincally can't be call a DHT inhibitor or other stuff... well...
unless it is small illness, it is more important we seek 2nd or even 3rd opinion like you said and of course lots of research on our own part. that what we can control and the best thing to do then to listen blindly. i learn this through the hardway.
so you do really trust FDA and drugs companies do you? then what about drugs like Vioxx, thalidomide, Bextra, Zelnorm, Tysabri, Cylert? you need me to name more? and don't get me started on conspiracy theory of FDA and drug companies
if you really trust doctor and such, why don't you trust generic drugs from india? like fincar is make by Cipla and they have score of generic drugs already approved by FDA. so what are your ground? trust or don't?
why do i get generic drug on the internet? because i am poor and need to save every dime, i don't really have a choice. i can't fly to india to get it myself so i have to take calculated risk by doing research to minimise the risk. that the part i can control and will.
overall, we seek options, get to know the risk, benefit etc then we take the best course. although i train by our obedience system, i not.

well , i do have friend who is senior doctor working in Uk , and he told me generic finasteride side effect is much higher than other products such as propecia and proscar, well , he has years of experience , if u trust generic so much , u can try ............ how safe issit compare to propecia. from india? i do not said india is not safe, i would rather say their drug is not regulated. a simple sentence which bring out the meaning. Doctor i didnt said i trust totally , but if all the doctors said the same thing , i should feel that i should at least can consider to listen, but , generic is over the internet, so many company are doing it. i didnt have the actual statistics to show that they are safe.... even propecia cannot be gauge. u r right their statistics may not be true, well , we know our body well, if something wrong, then better stop
i am very interested in talking to your friend. if possible and he don't mind, may i have his email address? i have no idea in UK that he can use india generic. 19th June 2006, finasteride patent expire and the only generic finasteride companies i know of Teva, Ivax, Gedeon Richter and Mylan is based in USA. unless his patient self medication. i will be very interested to know of his experience on generic side effect. ya, i am a finasteride junkie
