Since u been using proscar for a year +...do u experience and serious side effect such as decrease in sex drive..etc..hehe??? Scare may affect prenancy when get marry in future.....Isopropyl said:using propecia for 1year plus. most guardian carry minoxi5. not all pharmacy have it. i am in my mid-20s.
normal washing of hair won't cause your hair to fell if it won't mean to drop. so don't worry about it. even people without hairloss problem will still see hair dropping daily. it part of the cycle. if you don't wash it, it will still drop. the different is that the hair that drop without washing is dirty.
just do your best and leave the result to itself. try not to concentrate too much. this cause you want to hide your baldness and make you looking very insecure. don't worry too much on things that you can't control. try to make your life productive and happy. people who go with the flow is much more happy and confidence in life. i accept any result i have yet i not giving up without a good fight. i am still attracting girls after shaving my hair more than many of my friends with good look and full head of hair. it about your confidence. and No, i don't own a car. i travel with BMW (bus, MRT and walking).
that the way my friend. i will update you if i can notice anything out of my NS style. haha...Botak_gan said:Ya, i will try to be more patient and optimistic....Update me your progress,... I may try ti get the alpecin shampoo next week....
ok thank my friend... have a great weekendIsopropyl said:that the way my friend. i will update you if i can notice anything out of my NS style. haha...
yeah. go get the shampoo. maybe you can see it this way. someone like the uncle who does not response to proscar and minoxidil yet that shampoo work for him show that it might be something useful for the rest of us.
to add on, he just stopped proscar for a week after 14months. so let hope that for the next one month, his hairloss does not get worst again. if not, it might be due to the proscar is actually the cause of his hairloss stopping. but i do not think so as proscar does not work the way he describe. shedding like crazy for the past 10months but after one week of using Alpecin, his hairloss just stopped and maintain for past 4months. anyway, only time can tell. either way, it show either proscar or Alpecin will work!!! haha...
i didn't experience much problem on the sexual side. i still **** almost dailyBotak_gan said:Since u been using proscar for a year +...do u experience and serious side effect such as decrease in sex drive..etc..hehe??? Scare may affect prenancy when get marry in future.....

Isopropyl said:ultimatesg, here is the link. if i not wrong, there should be more study but i don't have the link.
i don't have much impression on Thymuskin. but from the little that i read, most likely it just a scam. at most it might help in other hair loss but not MPB. if i not wrong, you should be able to buy it in singapore. you tried before?
i have not read of any study that link hair loss with sodium. but like you, i do believe modern diet does play a part in increasing hair loss. it could be due to sodium, fats, MSG, suger, processed food, chemical etc. maybe it due to several factors rather than just a single component. who know, increasing radio wave in our enviroment could also be a cause.
errr... the nizoral truning man into gay is just a joke. haha...
a short update. today i met up with the uncle. i was a bit shock that he is a cacussion from NZ. after trading with him on the proscar, we talked quite a bit on hair loss. he is quite confidence that the Alpecin shampoo is stopping his hair loss. from what he told me, he daily hair loss have reduced by more than 100%. he guessed that before using the shampoo 4months ago, he is dropping about 150-200 hair daily. now he is guessing that he drop about 50-70 hair daily. this come from a guy that have treated his hair with those hairloss centre for 8months which cost more than $3000(another scum like BJ101), proscar, minoxidil, HairMax laser comb(which is consider a medical device in singapore and cost $650 USD), natural supplement etc etc.
anyway, if anyone happen to have any lobang on where to get ethyl alcohol around 70% volume(drinking alcohol), pls let me know. not denatured alcohol that you can buy in pharmacy.
thanks for the advice on alcohol. i do a search and see if it is possible to do so.ultimatesg said:Alcohol, you may be able to make your own for own use. But must read up on how.
Alpecin can give it a try if not too exp. But I still did not see how the active agent can penetrate the skin. Never heard of if you pour coffee on you skin the caffeine in the coffee will get through the skin.
Thymuskin was sold in Cancer Centre's pharmacy. I have no ide how the peptide in it can work and it cost a bomb. I do not recommend it.
Another treatment I read before and try is inversion of the body, i.e. head stand. I personally think is effective but takes effort and time.
their own test have show that it is possible to deliver it into the scalp. how true and exactly how it work i have no idea. well, as long as the product really work, i won't bother too much with this.Would it make sense to perform a scalp massage with coffee?
Caffeine from coffee is not able to penetrate the scalp or the hair follicle. This requires a special carrier base (galenics) that transports the active ingredients to the location where they can develop their effect. Our scientists have researched this area for a long time, and they have now succeeded in developing a method for transporting caffeine all the way into the hair follicles.

here something from Alpecin FAQ.

i not really into blood flow causing hair loss theory. maybe it could be part of the big picture. here Doctor Lee reply on this issue.
i mention Avodart in some of my post before. so far Avodart is only being approve for treating BPH but not hair loss. somehow, the company(Glaxo) stopped testing this drug for hair loss after phase II and on one really know the reason.Botak_gan said:Hi Isopropyl,
Have u heard of the drugs Dutasteride - Avodart??? It claimed to be the newest treatment on the market .It is in the class of DHT inhibitors, and inhibits both types of 5-Alpha enzyme whereas Propecia inhibits only one. Men experienced 50% more regrowth on Dutasteride than on Propecia, However the side effects of it has not been reported,,,,hmmm???
Ic thank...you really uptodate regarding hairloss issue...haha...I understand too as is better to do proper research before trying any treatment...thank .....Isopropyl said:i mention Avodart in some of my post before. so far Avodart is only being approve for treating BPH but not hair loss. somehow, the company(Glaxo) stopped testing this drug for hair loss after phase II and on one really know the reason.
yes, it work better than propecia in term of reducing DHT. do take note that 0.5mg is use to treat BHP while in the test for hair loss, 2.5mg is being use. most likely the reason could be 2.5mg reduce DHT on scalp around 90% while 0.5 reduce around 50%. note that propecia reduce around 30%-40% on scalp. it seem like a cure, but no one is certain. people who use avodart for hairloss reported mix result so i don't think it is wise to try.
i don't really recommend avodart for hairloss due to reasons like cost, no long term trial for hair loss, long term side effect as it half life is 240hours vs 6hours for propecia. no clear dosage and dosage frequency for hairloss, no real information on it side effect for exmaple type I 5-Alpha enzyme are measureable in the brain so no one really know what it can do to you in long term etc etc.
the list can go on and on. there is just too many questions not answer for avodart. remember that drug like both Finasteride and Dutasteride is very powerful drugs that mess with your body normal function. so do consider twice before using it. of course, there are people having good result from it. so the choice is up to you.
i might try Avodart down the road. if i ever use it, most likely i will be taking it once or twice together with proscar per week since it have a long half-life. there are generic version of dutasteride which is make in india which is much cheaper(India law does not recognize US patent law). just in case you don't know, you can also get india made finasteride.
are you still using any lotion for your scalp? from your previous posts, it seem you are allergy to minoxidil. maybe you are allegry to the PPG or alchohol content in the minoxidil which is quite common.Asymtope said:I always have acne like bump appearing on and off on my scalp. it's quite painful. I always wash my hair with H&S and nizoral but the problem persists. Any1 has this problem too?
When my scalp is slightly oily, there seems to be some tiny dried yellowish solid on my scalp. I never had these until recently I started minox for 4mth and stop it 1 mth ago.
Hi Isopropyl, did you try out different brands of minoxidil 5 %??? I tried out growell and minoxi5. Growell give u a slight burning sensation, like ur scape is get warmer. As for minoxi5, i dont experience and tinkling sensation at all. Think this is mainly due to different non-active ingredients. Do you come across any forums/website/review/remarks stated by patients that some brand of minoxidil 5 % work better than other brands????.... I ujust feel that growell give me better effectIsopropyl said:found a local hair treat salon that sell product like Tricomin, Revivogen, Thymuskin, Toppik, Laser comb, minoxidil etc. but be warn, the price is horriblely expensive. oversea price might be cheaper but adding in transport cost, it about the same.
