I have same problem due to stress, undernourished and using wrong shampoo. I went to trichologist and have some recommendation here:
1. take high protein food like fish, vegetables, nuts, egg, chicken, etc
2. if you oily scalp, get a shampoo for oily scalp.
3. Comb your hair with wide comb not brush before washing hair as it will help to reduce hair fall after washed.
4. the method of washing your hair is important. put few drops of shampoo on your palm and rub to get the bubbles before apply on your scalp (not hair). Massage the scalp to help blood circulation. Focus on your scalp only. If you have long hair, don't pull your hair up to your head when washing. Rinse and pat it dry with tower but not rubbing it. Once a day is more than enough. If you wahs it twice, it will hurts the scalp and oil and get very dray hair.
5. DOn't use blower or if you must have, turn to cool and not near the scalp.
6. Apply conditioner only on hair ends, NEVER on scalp.
7. Get a hair tonic and massage the scalp after you washed hair and before going to sleep. (this helps to grow new hair and nourish the scalp). Best if the tonic can prevent hair loss and dandruff.
7. Avoid to tie and pull your hair as it will harm the scalp.

If your hair condition do not improve after 3 months, consider to go to professional trichologist for help.
add a bit. vege is carbs, nut is fat.

for washing hair, use a bit of shampoo, rub on palm.
wash from side and back of head to the top.

Hey oceans, what tonic do you recommend?

Just to share my experience on my visit to NSC. Had a long talk with the doc and he managed to convince me not to do the test for androgenetic alopecia(male pattern hair loss), well which means i probably is. Btw it is not a blood test which i thought is. Anyway the 2 expected treatments are propecia n minoxidil. But i asked him to prescribe proscar to me cos i know from forums around that it is a much cheaper alternative. So i just paid $22 for the consultation and went to the nearest guardian pharmancy to purchase 2 months dosage of proscar(15 pills to be split into 4) for $60. Saved around $100 compared to propecia.

But do u guys think i should monitor a "little" while more before popping proscar?

One more thing, the lady at the pharmacy said that if i took proscar, it is not necessary to use minoxidil. Is this true? Cos i thought fin, nizoral n minoxidil are the 3 big treatments working together for hair loss. Can someone confirm this for me. Thanks.

Ya thinking of using both at the same time.

Yes you need prescription. It sux cos every time u finish the med, you have to pay a doc to write u one. I will probably get my gp to write for me.

Any expert proscar cutter here? I find it a pain to split it into 4 equal parts becos of the irregular shape. Can share how u do it?

I'm really interested in revivogen. If it is true, it has the same effect as fin but without the libido side. And i have heard good reviews of it from other forum. Wat this product lack off is track record i feel. Wanna ask any bro here has tried it? I would gladly trade it with proscar.

Hey Iso, miss your post for a while. Seen your replies in previous post, you really know alot bout this. Hope you will be active again:)
Just wanna ask how long u been using the foam? Has it help in regrown or simply just controlling hair loss. My regime now is nizoral 2% 3 times a week and proscar 1/4 everyday, might wanna add minox into my regime. But heard that it must be religiously used, true?

I will be posting my monthly pics of my hair here, be it improvement or not. Hopefully those with success stories can post their before n after pics and share their regime. Let's fight hair loss together bros.

thanks for the kind words. being busy with other area of intrest lately=:p

can't remember how long i have being using the foam. i think it more of helping to control hairloss for me then actual regrow. but i only using once per day rather then the 2 recommended.

if you intend to use minoxidil and it work for you, you got to use it as long as you want to keep those hair.

good luck to you. i using treatment to slow down balding and hopfully something close to a cure will appear within 5years or so.

being trying something new that why going to stop foam for a while. need to go back to liquid version as i intend to mix some other ingredient in my minoxidil which i can't do with the foam version.

One more question, do u take fin? Think i will stick to my current regime for a month first before considering adding minox. If u still have the foam on hand i will get it from u then lol.

Good luck to your experiment, be sure to let us know of any new findings.

again, anyone here tried revivogen? their products seem more promising, and check out their research section. Their product actually inhibit a high percent of DHT, compare to finasteride and dutasteride.

I will try few months later if propecia dont work for me..

But I hope the 'hair multiplication' will be approved and made available by 2009, while the wait might be up to 2015. With several firms doing research, it should be ready soon..

there's hope for men.
