hmmm i got a guy buddy in gym whos taking propecia.

he showed me his before pic n i compare to his current now, yes i do see improvements.

but when i noticed him exercising in gym, dono if its propecia or someother reasons, hes really weak for his size n he tires easily. always complain to me why m i much stronger than him.

my opinion is it should works IN THE LONG RUN. which means u dont see much progress in 2-3mths. take it for a yr or 2 to see results. if suay after a yr n u see no results then propeica not for u

the most important thing is u have to be prepared for side effects. its real.

alot of ppl here selling the product says no noticeable side effect blah blah blah. come on la, this product stop yr body from producing something that yr body needs to function. u think there will be no side effects? n sometimes side effects comes slowly n gradually that u dont notice it.

i dono if stopping the drug will reverse the side effects but if u do some research, there r some ppl who didnt recover fully.

I never took propecia, my gym buddy did. didnt ask him sexual stuff la but other than that i notice hes weak physically in gym and he pants easily. dono if its propecia or someother factors.


if u read about propecia from other propecia users forum,

some of them after experiencing side effects from propecia stop taking it to try to recover, but they didnt recover fully. in other words they cant go back to their original health like before.

they r some who complain this drug gives them mood swings, depression etc which is worsen by their deterioating sexual ability.


if u think logically all these things could happen when u stop yr body from producing certain hormones. hormones do contribute to yr wellbeing n state of mind so if u inhibit them wad happen?

also yr body is unable to produce a certain hormone as long as u take propecia. if 1 day (after taking for very long) u decided to stop taking, to try to get yr body to reproduce that hormone to recover from the side effects, u think yr body can easily do that?

if u have taken propecia for damn long, yr body takes very slow to recover fully. to reproduce the same amt of hormone like before u take propecia, its even harder.

n if u stop propecia after a long consumption period, theres a possibility after a long period of inablity to produce that hormone, yr body cant produce that much hormone as before u take propecia.


alot of things can happen. the drug cpy making thia drug wont tell u all this cause it scares ppl, they only tell u it works (it actually does) for most ppl on yr hair, but it wrecks yr body internally

When you say your friend see improvements...u mean propecia not only stop his hairloss but also give him much hair regrowth? How's your friend's hair condition look like before taking propecia? He has been taking propecia for how long ?

he showed me his before photo, i compare with him now, yes he grow back his hair.

his before pic i can only see frontal balding, not sure about the back n top. isnt those very bad kind of balding.

The feeling's terrible. Does your friend have problems with speaking articulately/expressing his thoughts well? Or in general, unable to think clearly, like his brain has this permanent fog?

The side effects will get worse. Your friend's been on it for only a year and he's already getting all the sides in almost full force. Any longer, who knows what's gonna happen. It took me about 2 years before i started noticing the sides. Not just a weaker libido, but muscle weakness/body fatigue/ brain fog.

I find it alarming that people are not concerned at all about the sides you mentioned - their only concern is whether propecia works. That is sad. A lowered libido is not the only potential side effect. Let me say it in another way: finasteride has the potential to mess with not only your dick, but your mental well being and overall health. If that's not scary, i don't know what is.

I've said it before in a previous post but it seems like people still want to stay optimistic. Go read up online about what DHT does in the body. Here's one link. I should add that the site is not some sort of anti-propecia propaganda site.

I've been on proscar 1/5-6 for about 4 weeks now. It clearly has an impact on my libido and almost instantly. After 2 days, I felt no sexual urge at all even when tempted. After 3-4 days, I felt a pain in my left groin, somewhat like the tube to the ball was stuck. Got worried after 1 week with the depressed drive that I tried ***. When it came, it was as if there was no feeling but a lot of the load just came out readily. Strangely thereafter, the libido seemed to have recovered slightly. By now, I can say I'm back to 70% normal - can do it anytime but doesn't subconsciously think about it as much. If you ask me, I'm kind of happy with the slight reduction in desire. Only problem is the pain in the groin hasn't entirely gone away. Hopefully, I can ride it out in time.

I too feel happier when the desire is reduced. Initially I was worried but later feel that free from desire is happiness. I have stopped Proscar for 2 months and my libido is back. Sometime i do take it to control my libido

I believe all of our points are valid but is individual.

I myself experience lower libido and erection 4 months after consuming Proscar. Yes, my hair have regrowth. During a period, i did notice that i tend to forget stuffs easily. In a case, i also notice my mood swings in a way i doesn't worry or care about much things. But at night i often sleep better than ever. I tend not to worry about anything.

However, I does have friend who took propecia for more than a year, if it is truth he spoken, he did not experience any of the symptom but i notice no regrowth in him except maintaining the same amount of hair.

To conclude, it really depend on individual. Some like me take a shorter time to effect while some took more than a year to realise.
