there are strong data that suggest finasteride lower risk of prostate cancer/problem for man. so the question is do you want to lower the risk of low risk male breast cancer or number 1 cancer for man? further more, while keeping hair have no doubt increasing self-confidence which might get you a potential mate(wife) and life quality. data suggest a married man have higher life expectancy. so what the take?
in TCM the saying goes 是药三分毒. i not saying there is totally very little risk in using finasteride which i have debate with fellow users on this thread sometime back which claim so. but the risk is acceptable in my personal view to improve my life quality. yes, you can choose to do nothing for your hairloss if you are cool about it which i have friends that not only accept it but using it as a joke to break-ice. but for those that need time or still want to keep what you have, finasteride is a pretty good choice. infact, one of the best we have consider current treatment.
my point is, don't be afraid to cross the road just because of risk in knocking down by car if you need to cross
