Thomson Plaza feels a lot more comfortable than AMK hub or J8.###
Thomson Plaza is just ok size. The Thomson area as a whole is very vibrant, lots of eating places and services catering to the mainly private residences. (Again private residents are the target... even Price wise in the plaza)
the magnitude of Bishan or AMK central in terms of shops and offerings is larger because Bishan and AMK have many hdb residents to service (demographic different)

Developers are desperate for land and the upcoming GLS is not sufficient. However, Thomson View and Chuan Park (and a few more coming up) that require more than $1 bn are way too risky.Sad. Thought developers' inventory are running out?
