Crazy to pay so much for stainless steel chronograph..honestly, I buy from Grey Dealers but I will calculate whether percentage over RTP and compared to bundle from AD before I press the trigger..
this is a smart man. don't think the AD game is always cheaper.
fact, yes it's cheaper by 2-3k sometimes. but the shite they make you buy (frowned upon if you try selling it) may not be well worth it. the time taken to try and beg people to buy the shite, trying not to get caught for selling the shite, effort and all plus the waiting time for the piece you requested for, maybe 3, 6, 9 or even up to a year.
i would rather pay up the 2-3k and get it immediately, rather than dealing with the other purchases i am made to buy and constantly trying to get into the good books of the SA (if you're lucky to get a good one, keep them, but always remember, they are sales people, it's still a business, they have to answer to the higher ups etc.)
if you are someone who is afraid of it being fake when buying from the grey market, means you're not savvy enough to be shopping online or just generally not savvy at all. stick to the AD route and stop complaining if you don't get what you want.
as for prices dipping, you do realised the prices now are what it is in 2019, its still way above retail, it just came down and corrected itself.
you want pieces to appear at AD magically, sure, you pray that the 30% thing from rolex is legit (which i highly doubt so, why because watchmaking is a dying trade, there's only a small pool of watchmakers you can hire from, to train a wostep certified watchmaker takes years and i expect rolex to only hire the best. Rolex can have all the materials and facilities, but without the human element, it is as good as useless)
end of the day, it's just a watch. you didn't need it then, you don't need it now.
