Actually Panda 60k and Godzilla 40k is not too bad already. The highest transacted i believed was 75k for Panda and 60k for Godzilla.
Crazy to pay so much for stainless steel chronograph..honestly, I buy from Grey Dealers but I will calculate whether percentage over RTP and compared to bundle from AD before I press the trigger..

Hi Kelvin,
Crazy hour & Zenith. Can i ask you something?
Other than 👆🏿 these two, did you buy any other difference pieces or brands to get your pepsi?

No. That AD works on bundle deal…

Back then, need to buy $40k worth before adding Pepsi. Certain brands not counted some more 🤦🏻‍♂️

At least my wife always wanted Crazy Hours so still ok

Haha at one stage a new Aquanaut was selling 130k in grey market. Now is about 85k for 2021 model or about 76k for 2014-2015 model.

Yeah man..last year they offered me bundle for aquanaut but I turned it down..no matter how I calculate it makes little sense.

It was a white gold complication. However, I am not into dress watch then plus I used to own an aquanaut before so nothing fanciful for me..
Ah I see. For me it’s a no brainer as I wanted an annual calendar moonphase all the while. And aquanuat pass by me many times in the past when grey prices were below retail..
In your circumstances, indeed it’s not that meaningful

Just some fun maths calculations where Rolex will be increasing its production by 30%;

30% of 1 million = 300000
300000 divide by 150 countries = 2000 watches per country (for easy calculations as we all know there are more than 150 countries in the world)

2000pcs divide by Singapore’s AD (assuming THG, Cortina, KHH, Emperor, our Changi Airport’s Rolex)
2000 / 5 AD = 400 per AD per year.

400 pcs / 12 months = around 33.33 pcs per month..

I think it is quite a lot…
not all countries and AD get equal amount of watches

there's tier one.
just like Nike,
tier 0 = highest tier, gets most of the good stuff
then following on.

SG market quite strong but since we are smaller country, our AD gets way lesser compared to countries like Japan (asia)
but compare to Australia, we get more than them. Australia luxury market is very small. Natives there damn chill, don't need to flex. Infact, most of the luxury goods are purchased by Asians living there.

this is a smart man. don't think the AD game is always cheaper.
fact, yes it's cheaper by 2-3k sometimes. but the shite they make you buy (frowned upon if you try selling it) may not be well worth it. the time taken to try and beg people to buy the shite, trying not to get caught for selling the shite, effort and all plus the waiting time for the piece you requested for, maybe 3, 6, 9 or even up to a year.

i would rather pay up the 2-3k and get it immediately, rather than dealing with the other purchases i am made to buy and constantly trying to get into the good books of the SA (if you're lucky to get a good one, keep them, but always remember, they are sales people, it's still a business, they have to answer to the higher ups etc.)

if you are someone who is afraid of it being fake when buying from the grey market, means you're not savvy enough to be shopping online or just generally not savvy at all. stick to the AD route and stop complaining if you don't get what you want.

as for prices dipping, you do realised the prices now are what it is in 2019, its still way above retail, it just came down and corrected itself.
you want pieces to appear at AD magically, sure, you pray that the 30% thing from rolex is legit (which i highly doubt so, why because watchmaking is a dying trade, there's only a small pool of watchmakers you can hire from, to train a wostep certified watchmaker takes years and i expect rolex to only hire the best. Rolex can have all the materials and facilities, but without the human element, it is as good as useless)

end of the day, it's just a watch. you didn't need it then, you don't need it now.

Yeah man..after wearing 5167 and trying on 5164, I was not used to it as it has a thicker lug and looks bigger on my small wrist. I nearly went for a 5712R which was 48-51k but missed it..Never did I expect this kind of price surge..
