Just make sure the serial number on the watch matches the warranty card itself. This should be good enough. RSC doesn’t do authentication anymore. Or if you still like to do it this way, send the watch for servicing at RSC, if the watch is fake, they will tell you. But that it a costly way to authenticate the watch when there are other shops outside who are good at doing authentication with a reasonable fee
Yup. Another additional way to authenticate ourselves would be to check for the laser etched Rolex crown on the sapphire glass at the 6 o’clock position

For veterans at THG, how much spend is required to be eligible for a GMT? My current spend is in the high 5 figures - possible?

Which gmt? Pepsi or Rootbeer or batgirl/batman?

almost 100k? I recall batman batgirl should be attainable.. but better to double check with your SA.. the goalpost shifts with secondary market price as well as depending on demand from each boutique

A bit like Patek? Can only buy Patek to journey for Patek?
This is good in a way, however might increase the waiting time. Because there are very few Rolex models that aren’t application models. So basically there will be a large pool of buyers waiting to purchase SS DJ or TT DJ in order to get allocation sports models. There are already not many pieces of DJ coming to the boutique every month.
Like that the likes of KHH difficult to do biz already. As they rely on the existing arrangement to sell their Tudors faster. So now they would be left with plenty of stocks of Tudor if they are not allowed to sell Tudor for customers to queue for Rolex.

This is better. I feel better collecting DJs then Hublot, Tudor, FM, Zenith and others

Its like telling everyone don't need to buy Rolex anymore simply because the basic Rolex needed to bundle already have to wait than how to get to the sports model? Waste time only. :)

Nowadays, even the modern 36mm Daydate retails around 50k brand new, best value for bucks is the neo vintage 5 digits daydate 18038 or 18238 around the 20k range.

The 6 digits Daydate 118238 starts from 30k onwards, just make sure you get all 24links from the seller as 1 link from Rolex Service Centre is $800. (Shop dealers usually keep 1-3links for themselves, thus you typically see only 20, 21 or 22 links on the watch.)

How is durable is the 5 digits day date like ? In term of build and bracelet stretch compared to the 6 digits ?

Saw a lot of vids on douyin about this since last week, don’t know if it’s the same locally as the bundle system/journey is
quite different, for them for eg they gotta get several pieces of tudor, up to 16pieces for panda at one purchase or other models I couldn’t remember from the video.
Whereas here we gotta play the waiting game.

5 Digits links are hollow and tends to stretch easily, not easy to spot as most watch shop plastic wrap the bracelet area, so far out of 6 piece i viewed , 2 have quite worn and stretch bracelet and in SG no one will repair, only in HK shop then do.

gentle reminder to make sure u get all 24 links from the seller otherwise factor that in when buying.

Thanks for the advice. Was thinking of trading my sea dweller for a day date but hard to find a good condition 6 digits reference DD at a decent price. How does the bracelet hold up in daily wear ?

depends on the condition lo
luckily the seller that sold mine was a private collector, not a full time dealer
the condition for it was very good even though the watch is older than me

if you wear it loose, in the future there's potential for stretch since the bracelet still doesn't have the ceramic pins

would you guys take the starbucks or bluesy? I have a pepsi with the bluesy as well as a blue bb58 in my 3 watch collection. Just thinking if i should trade in the bluesy for a starbucks instead to add more versatility. Thoughts?
