Anyone knows if this TNG app is widely used in everywhere in Malaysia? I'm heading to KL, Ipoh, Penang and was wondering if I need to change alot cash or is it as easy as using TNG app like Wechat Pay in China.

Buy the enhanced NFC TnG card and link to your TnG eWallet. Can be used for payment with POS devices, road toll and public transport for MRT, rapidKL and rapidPenang.
If the card no value it will deduct directly from your eWallet.
The card can be purchased from lazada :s34:

Personally even with POS devices, I still prefer to use the TnG app. :s34:
Just tap the TNG widget on my phone (iPhone), then let them scan the QR code on my phone and voila :s34:
Quite fast la :s34:

Yup, I used to do that too. Nowadays too lazy to do mental calculation during Reloading. :s13:
I tried the MyTourist Pay app too, this 1 purely QR scan & pay, linked to bank cards.

Moi used the TNG NFC card. Many sellers are selling in Lazada and shopee. It can be used for plaza toll and public transport in KL. :s34:
If not enough value in the card, it will auto deduct from eWallet instead.

AFAIK the auto-deduction feature is optional. I turned mine off in case I lose the card through lending or misplacing. I use the eWallet a lot, and don't want it to go bankrupt. :s34:

Other than the typical use (payment, parking, public transport, prepaid card payment), chiu can also use it for other online services. :s34:
Chiu can use it to subscribe Spotify. Or add TNG eWallet as a payment method to google or Apple ID. But need to change your account country to Malaysia. But then it’s much cheaper to pay in rm. :s34:

you know what, in jb, most shops support tng. still, for those shops don't support tng, u can use tng transfer money to their bank account to pay your bill. For my every single trip in jb in the last half year, I never exchanged 1 single rm cash.
