I don’t have a office there but I have a few places to go for meetings such as Tokyo Metropolitan Building, They are all scattered around tokyo. So looking to find a hotel central area.

Last trip we stayed in a place called Hotel Vintage, has a few stations within a 10min walk.. close to Tsukiji market as well and walking distance to Ginza if you wished.

Was one of the cheaper hotels we could find during the festive period.

Depends where you are. I’ve been to Niigata/Hokkaido (whiteouts are common) and Tokyo/Shizuoka in Feb some years back. Some days were quite cold (single digit or below 0°C with light snowfall) in Tokyo/Shizuoka.

so far bookmarked some hotels in Shinjuku, Shibuya, Tokyo Station and Asakusa areas
not sure which is best in terms of convenience to reach attractions (eg. disney, kidzania, sensoji, tsukiji, Shinjuku, Shibuya, etc)
tokyo station seems like the sweet spot but surrounding also nothing much...
price wise, family room cao cao 500sgd and above for hotels with bfs.
any advise on cheaper hotels and best area to stay?

You want cheaper alternatives: Asakusa or Ueno. Or anywhere near a local train station.

Doesn’t really matter the locations of the attractions as long as you’re close to a station. Still within Tokyo city. Plus you’re out whole day sightseeing, probably will be tired and just need a clean bed for resting.

Not sure what exactly you’re looking for, but there’s quite many food choices and malls around Tokyo Station.

I stayed at ikeburuko hotel Metropolitan last week which is very near to the west exit of the main station. It is just a few stops away from Shinjuku and have quite a number of subway lines.

I stayed at a double room about 18m sqr with free bf and cost less than $160 for 2 person. I booked this hotel very much early in 2024 apr. Which is almost 9 months ahead.

Good hotels at Shinjuku and Tokyo are usually higher coz both are like main transport hub. If u want cheaper . U have to consider elsewhere .

The best thing I like about this hotel is there is airport limousine bus service cost 1400 yen per person from and to Haneda airport.(Narita airport also have but cost more ) just right in front of hotel lobby . On the last day departure date where my flight was at night. Hotel allowed me to store my luggage after morning check out and in early evening ,I make use the airport limousine bus to airport. Save the trouble of taking the train with many commuters plus many luggage in tow.
