Today try again and now able to select Port Forwarding and menu appear on the right and able to add entry.
What was done last night I enable SPI Firewall (was off) but still could not select Port Forwarding and now able to.

Can check is this for V1 or V1.20?

For those that are using this router under the web management page, have your online duration (which is shown on the screen immediately after log in) ever exceed 35 days or longer? I noticed that mine will usually reach around 25 to 35 days and then reset.

Interesting, need to monitor my one, currently just 4 days.

Just want to report that I have no issues to get Port Forwarding working (to expose Wireguard VPN servers from my sub-routers running OpenWRT, for testing purposes).

SPI firewall should be ON anyway.

TP-Link HomeShield Network check will flag a warning for Port Forwarding.

My reboot schedule is not enabled to automatically reboot and firmware update is also set to off for auto update, so the timer for the online duration should count indefinitely.

I am wondering what causes the online duration to reset periodically and whether it is specific to certain internet service provider. Did some research and it may have to do with DHCP lease renewals but I’m not certain. Also it happened during day time so can probably rule out maintenance period related reasons.

Hey all,

I am having an issue where I have 2 sets of TP Link BE805 from M1. I tried connecting them via easymesh, but my clients keep reverting to connect them to the router in the main living room when the router in the room is much closer. Any idea how to solve this issue?

Persoanlly I do not use a mesh solution. But based on what I read, TP-Link EasyMesh is not the best when it comes to seamless roaming among consumer mesh technology, Asus AImesh and TP-Link's own Deco mesh may be better.

TP-Link Archer BE805 has very good wireless coverage based on my testing. That may contribute to the issues. It could be the two routers have very large overlapping in terms of the coverage area.

Potential solution.
1) Set the transmitter power from "High" to "Middle"
2) Move the second Archer BE805 a bit further away from the main node.

Asus AImesh has more settings like Roaming Asistent and Roaming Blocklist.

Small enterprise AP solution is even better with seamless roaming as they have a controller, like TP-Link Omada and Ubiquiti Unifi.

TP-Link is improving the EasyMesh technology with more recent firmware updates. So hopefully it will get more and more mature.

Dongknows review of TP-Link EasyMesh in June 2025 for reference.
https://dongknows.com/tp-link-easymesh-wi-fi-system-review/

Conclusion

TP-Link EasyMesh can be a handy option if you want to quickly extend your router’s coverage just a bit more.

This situation applies when you have a single Archer router that can nearly cover the entire home. Now, get an EasyMesh extender, and it’ll finish the job. If you need more than one extender, chances are things will get significantly worse and less reliable.

So, if you can buy a couple of Archer routers at a low price and have a wired home, a big if, EasyMesh can be a worthwhile option for building a Wi-Fi system from scratch.

Still, in most cases, you’d be better off going with more established DIY options, such as Ubiquiti’s UniFi or ASUS’s AiMesh. Or stay with TP-Link’s Deco family.

Pros

Lots of hardware options
Relatively easy to set up and use
Flexible wireless and wired backhaul (with applicable hardware)
Responsive web interface with optional Tether mobile app

Cons

Minimum control of the satellite via the interface of the primary router.
Wireless backhaul can be complicated with no MLO in any Wi-Fi 7 combo; virtual SSDs (Guest Wi-Fi, IoT, etc.) remain at the primary router only.
Seamless hand-off reliability could be better.
