No noticeable performance issue, natural ventilation.
Mine not inside DB cabinet, but warm to touch.
As compared to my ASUS-BE25K which has a fan underneath which is much cooler.
Thanks so much! I will try first and add a fan if it is too warm.

wow...

didn't know you can mix & match HB810 (from ST) and EB810v (from SH)
Both models were advertised as being Easymesh compatible, hence they would be able to work with each other i assumed. Took the plunge coz i got the EB810v cheap. Can't really find a cheap HB810.

Between EB810v and BE805, would both wireless coverage/strength be the same?
Based on what Ive read one is a unit for starhub while the latter is a consumer’s grade so the firmware gets quicker updates.
Is there any other difference?
Thanks in advance for pros advice

i’m looking for stronger wifi signal without using Lan cables much.

I believe the wireless coverage should be quite similar.

I have the Archer BE805 and its coverage is pretty good (much better than HB710). This has also been confirmed by quite a few users in M1 thread.

As per reports here, EB810v wireless coverage is also quite good.

Main benefits of EB810v -- three 2.5G LAN ports, supported by Starhub, with built-in OOkla SpeedTest utility.

Main benefits of Archer BE805 -- consumer models with more FW feauture like Wireguard VPN client/server, OpenVPN client, more frequent FW updates to fix potential issues.

I just got my Tp link eb810v.
Is it normal that the device is wobbly on the desk?

Meaning it does not stand firm on the desk.
If I nudge it slightly, it wobbles a little.

Seems like all 4 four corners of bottom part of this router are not aligned.

Hi, I'm have been getting 5G drop with this unit since installed 1 week ago. I have hard reset router last night and it is still happening. I only discovered the drop one day watching on Chromecast and wifi disconnected message pop out. I monitored with my phone and saw 5G was missing and only appeared back after a while. Think it dropped after every 45 to 1hr. One bro earlier had the same issue with his 2.4G n after exchanged, problem swap to 5G instead. Any solutions to it? Most likely I will need to put my previous Asus GT-Ax6000 as an AP if I want to maintain 5G? Thanks.
Do u have wifiman installed on your phone, i noticed that sometimes the 5Ghz wifi channel switches.

I asked TP-link on this and they advise me to reboot and go login to your router menu via browser.. ( the 192.168. Something something) and change out the 5ghz channel to a static one. They told me to choose channel 157 and steer clear of dfs channels ( dun really know what that means)

So far so good. Will report again if i see anything out of the ordinary. (I am going to swap out my mobile to a used 24U soon, so i wun be stuck on 5ghz but on 6ghz lol.)

Hi, thanks for informing.
My router unfortunately suffers the same bug as a few guys here - 5Ghz default back to channel 44 and 160 Mhz channel width wherever i tried to make the changes. Firmware has already been updated to the latest one.

I have since reset the router n setup again, but this time, I changed the mode on 5Ghz from 802.11 a/n/ac/ax/be mixed to 802.11a/n/ac/ax mixed. Tested on chromecast and my work laptop, no drop in signal so far. Fingers crossed.

Hi all. I have a question pertaining to the Aignet App for the EB810V. I installed and set up the app in my Samsung phone. Everything is good. Then I changed phone and reinstalled the Aignet app in my new Oppo phone. To set this up properly, the app is asking for the device password. Although I still remember the app PW, I cannot recall the device password. I tried to use the wireless PW at the back of the EB810v but that's not the right one. What should I do? I still have the app in my Samsung and it's working fine but I can't get this in my new phone. TIA

could you recall the password you set during the setup process?

otherwise, reset the password from your Samsung phone...
For the app and account, i have the pw. It's the device password. Is there a way to reset from the password? I believe that is more for the aignet account than the device. It was the starhub guy that set it up for me. So I dunno whether he gave me the device password.can i reset everything?

They are not compatible with each other in terms of mesh.

Basically you can consider TP-Link China and TP-Link Global to be two totally different companies and the product are not really compatible with each other.

TP-Link China 易展 is not really using EasyMesh standard, not compatible with TP-Link EasyMesh.

I have tried to mesh TP-Link Archer BE805 with TP-Link China TL-7DR6560 and it did not work out.
