bro got check? now updated finally for us early batch

so got what different? i see the ram still 50-60% means no unlock 2GB for us :o
i just checked and the firmware still not available for me yet but i believe i will be getting it soon. I think the hardware RAM installed is only 1 GB so they can not unlock it to 2GB RAM. Any way it is just a bit slower when we restart and not much impact on us. Now still no Homeshield feature? See what AI has to say:
The TP-Link EB810v router comes with 1 GB of RAM. It is important to note that a firmware update cannot physically increase the amount of RAM in any hardware device.

RAM Specifications
  • Amount of RAM: The
    TP-Link EB810v
is designed with 1 GB (or 1024 MB) of RAM.
  • Processor: It features a powerful 2.2 GHz quad-core processor to handle high-speed data transmission and complex operations.
Yes, CS HOD has replied to me to inform me that I am in the last batch and the push down will be on 18 Nov 2 Am to 3 Am. If after 6am still never see the firmware updated just need to do a simple restart. If still no update then i must reply to their email to inform them and he will sent technician down to settle it for me.

Its not really far away. Infact its quite near, a reasonable distance that works with other routers. I still can't figure out why the eb810 and be230 wont work after meshing. The be230 just acts as if there is no connection
You can try a wire connection instead to see whether it works.

does StarHub provide any release note about the new firmware? without that how can we know the improvement or changes?

Strange I never manually "update", but it's updated. Never even reboot the router... lol.

Basically it is not recommended to mix TP-Link Service Provider models with Consumer model.

I have tested Archer BE805 + HB710 with wireless backhaul. HB710's 6GHz band cannot join the mesh.

18 Nov 2 Am to 4 Am is the last batch of update so everyone already updated. SH CS HOD told me.
So it's confirmed patched by Starhub then and not TP-Link? Or should be both collaborating to push this latest update out?
Either ways, there's no changelog at all it seems.. by any chance did SH share any info?

It will become the greatest mystery if they don't tell us what's new in the new firmware.
Which seems to likely be the case. 🤡 :s22:

StarHub has stated that the general purpose of firmware updates for the EB810v router is to enhance performance, improve stability and security, and resolve known issues.
While specific, detailed release notes for the latest StarHub firmware version are not publicly available on their main support pages.

will it make sense for a m1 user to buy this EB810V router?

i like it because it has the 2.5g lan ports and 2 x 10g port.

the bundled router for m1 is the TPLINK BE805 but only 4 x 1g ethernet ports apart from the 2 x 10g port as well.

I bought an EB810v before to try as a mesh node on my Singtel broadband. Worked fine, but seeing so many complaints about it, glad I sold it off.

You’re better off getting Singtel’s HB810 equivalent, where firmware updates are more frequent and you can download the firmware from Singtel unlike Starhub’s EB810v where you can only depend on Starhub to push down the firmware.
