No lah, Starhub is selling HB810 at about S$360 (S$15 x 24) to Starhub users. They claim it is at 50% OFF.

But the real Carousell price of EB810v is at about S$400. Some SIMBA users got it but it is not a good idea since the FW updates are locked to Starhub network.

Lazada should not have EB810v as it is a service provider model and not for retail. I think you may be looking at TP-Link Archer BE800 which has the price of about S$799 to S$809 in Lazada. But there may be better lobangs elsewhere.
Ah!

So if I buy EB810V I also cannot use on my M1 network if I were using M1 isp

You can use TP-Link EB810v with M1 but it is not a good idea since you will not get FW updates.

As of now, EB810v still has quite some FW bugs and lagging behind consumer models (eg: Archer BE800) in terms of FW features. So you need FW updates to sort out those issues.

Therefore it is not a good idea to use EB810v with other ISPs.

Same for Singtel specific HB810.

In general it is not a good idea to use TP-Link Service provider models. But since 10G capable WiFi 7 routers are still expensive, so it is probably okay to use EB810v for Starhub users and HB810 for Singtel users.

Last night I noticed that my speed test only go to 4.x Gbps

I checked the negotiated speed of the WAN interface is now only 5000 Mbps, it's usually 10000 Mbps

Anyone else has the same issue?

Hey guys, i've been following this thread daily.....i'm not a very techy person, so i get quite lost with all these discussions on how to improve connectivity and stability.....but by and large, for a "regular" user, the current state of this offering from Starhub is "fairly usable" right?

I am asking coz my SH contract is up and wanna recontract to this....and i've been holding back for 3 months because i see all these feedback here and quite apprehensive abt "upgrading"....

Yes, it is quite usable for average users.

Recommendation is to go with ONT+EB810v if you want to get more out of the SH 5Gbps plan or 10Gbps plan. But if your use cases are simple, even the cheaper Nokia ONR option can be considered.

And actually it is good that you wait. Previously SH had congested issues during peak time. The issue has been resolved.

If you do not need EPL or Homehub+ bundle, Starhub 5Gbps plan is more worth than 10Gbps plan.

Starhub 5Gbps plans:

1. Normal 5Gbps plan:

2. Special 5Gbps offer with Nokia ONR (can not change to ONT) and one Nokia Beacon 2 to form a mesh

3. Special 5Gbps offer with ONT -- nobody has been able to get this offer so far (a few are trying). Not so sure if the link will be valid for long.

This 5Gbps with ONT only and without Router so it is cheaper and then add $15 for router = $45/mth.

But nobody has yet been able to get this ONT 5Gbps specical offer as of now. Some are still trying. Let's see how it goes.

Some of the users may have better router than the TP-Link EB810v and prefer to use their own router, that is the main reason they want to go with the ONT option.

For average users with basic usages, I think the S$29.55 per month Speical offer for Starhub 5Gbps with Nokia ONR is pretty decent deal.

Agree as now their speed is ok.
