I also noted the ch 44 bug. If you change 5G settings , it will always drop back to ch 44.

Thankfully i have saved settings before make any changes. So restoring works.

Take note upgraders to save your settings first.

Hi, how did you resolve this issue? I also notice my 5Ghz setting always stick to ch44 160Mhz.

I also notice the 5Ghz wifi connection keep dropping and not available. Is anyone having this issue?

I guess I just lucky. After updating firmware , I saved my settings brought over from old firmware

when playing around with the new firmware, I noted the bug, thank goodness restoring older settings file overrides the bug. I was using dfs channel

Regarding the unstable new firmware issue (dropping connection, router console no response ), I contacted Starhub. They just replaced the ONT, and so far, after more than a week, the issue hasn’t occurred again. Not sure why it was related to the ONT.

But there were a few reports of Nokia XGS-PON ONT quality issues here in this forum.

Thank you for the information you provided and the availability confirmed by many parties. So I seem to have successfully signed the contract (the appointment time is Saturday, December 10), and I also bought EB810V for this. So I have these questions:

1. Since no friends in the forum have switched the 10G LAN port to the Wan port, I have to use this router as an AP. The connection method is as follows:
So is this connection method reasonable?

2. The speed of x540T2 is 1G and 10G. If I install it in P330, will it handshake with 810v at 1G or 10G (x540T2 does not have 5G speed)？can I use 5G broadband normally?

1. So you managed to subscribe to the special 5Gbps offer with ONT option, right?

2. Your connection scheme --> I do not think it will work. But I could be wrong. You can try it.
FTP --> ONT --> ThinkStation P330 Tiny as main router --> TP-Link EB810v in Special AP mode (10G LAN).

I tend to think you connection will not work. You are using a Special AP mode by connecting the 10G LAN port to the main router. In that case, I believe the combo WAN port will be non-functional.

3. Normal AP connection scheme should work. Just that the SFP+ port is now useless.

FTP --> ONT --> ThinkStation P330 Tiny as main router --> TP-Link EB810v in normal AP mode (10G Combo WAN RJ45 port).

TP-Link EB810v 10G LAN port --> NAS

4. Should be no issues. Your PC will connect to the ONT and EB810v at 10Gbps connection rate. 5Gbps speed limit comes from the Starhub side (either the OLT or some other server in the access network, not an expert here).

Hi, you mean you restored the backup config file (which you backup before upgrading the firmware) and the problem is resolved? and you are able to change the channel and channel width settings for 5Ghz wifi now?

1、Yes, after you shared the link, I took the test immediately after 11pm, so I failed. But the next morning around 10am, I passed it in one try (my company does not use SH network). In the confirmation email, all options were ONT, and none of them were shown as ONR.
3 & 4、So I need to consider cheap optical port network card + module to achieve this. But thankfully, I don’t need to consider 2.5G and 5G, because the network card and 810V can handshake at 10G (even if SH’s broadband is 5G )

I backed up after firmware update cos i kiasu. Luckily firmware update still maintains existing settings

I didn’t change after i restore because that will intro the bug. My restored setting is on dfs channel like before. Without this backup, I will also stuck at ch44

PSA: After upgrade to latest firmware, factory reset and re-configure your router manually (don't restore config)

I now no longer have issues with 5ghz settings. I can change to any settings and it won't change back to ch44

For me, I noticed the 5ghz setting already changed to ch44 after firmware upgrade. There is no way to change it to other settings. I also reset the router and restored the backup configs (configs before firmware upgrade) but the problem persists. I had TWT enabled. I tried disable TWT, and it doesn't help too. And I just enabled both OFDMA and TWT few hours ago. Now suddenly the 5ghz ch changed to DFS channel. I really not sure what happened and how it got changed. Now I not dare to change the 5ghz setting again. Will see if it stays at this DFS channel.

Have you tried factory reset and just re-configure manually without config restore? That fixes the issue for me

Yes, just tried factory reset and re-configured manually. Wifi 5ghz still stuck at ch 44.....

May i know if i do Easymesh ethernet backhaul of two EB810v, will the mesh be applicable to MLO and 6GHz band? or the mesh is only limited to 2.4ghz and 5ghz?

If do Easymesh Ethernet backhual with two EB810V the mesh will be limited to 2.4ghz 5ghz and 6ghz. As MLO cannot be used as there is two different MLO SSID. TP-Link yet do anything for mesh MLO.

Of course can not la because the factory default FW is already in SH version. To use with viewqwest must buy EB800 or those router sold by viewqwest la.

No, FW updates can only be received from Starhub network. So better not to get this router for use with other ISPs.

VQ and SIMBA provide eero Max 7 at discounted price. Better to get that than to get EB810v. Or you can get Archer BE805 or Archer BE800.

Actually this was mentioned here for a few times. BE800 is good and got good security suite but must pay.
