If you have any way of just going direct wired all the way to the main router then do it (or use wired backhaul etc) - like you said wireless can be finicky, and there's so many things that can make latency spike periodically, it's just not worth the risk for online gaming. I game a lot and I dedicated a port just for my gaming PC - the rest of my computers are on wireless as occasional latency isn't really noticeable for browsing, streaming etc. Either way good luck! You might be able to find a good set of wireless configs, or maybe reset the mesh and fix some underlying issue etc, but for me that amount of effort is annoyingThe nodes are connected wirelessly, and I've connected my PC via ethernet to a node placed in my bedroom
