Try this. Connect LAN port ob BE810v to LAN port of AX72 via LAN cable. Press reset button on AX72 for 5sec. Wait a few minutes for lights on AX72 to stabilize. Then disconnect LAN cable. Turn AX72 off then on.
I managed to set up AX72 as a backhaul satellite router with EB810V. But it can't do a fast roaming when I moved closer to the main router EB810V. Any solution for this?

Same situation. Apparently roaming depends on the client, not the router.. You using android hp?

Yes. Using Samsung S24 FE. It seems EB810V can only fast roaming with HB710 or HB410 from Starhub.

After monitoring i noticed that the wifi will still drop every 30mins.
May be it is because of the old firmware. My smart camera wifi also keep dropping every now and then. SH should have launched ASUS router and let ASUS update the firmware.

Even with EB810v + HB710/HB410, you may not have good roaming performance.

The whole TP-Link Easymesh implementation is not that mature. If you need good mesh performance, go with TP-Link Deco mesh or Asus AImesh or others.

https://dongknows.com/tp-link-easymesh-wi-fi-system-review/

Pros
  • Lots of hardware options
  • Relatively easy to set up and use
  • Flexible wireless and wired backhaul (with applicable hardware)
  • Responsive web interface with optional Tether mobile app

Cons
  • Minimum control of the satellite; no wired backhauling for extenders with a network port
  • Wireless backhaul can be complicated, no MLO with Wi-Fi 7, no virtual SSDs (Guest Wi-Fi, IoT, etc.) at the satellite
  • Seamless hand-off reliability could be better

Conclusion
Still, in most cases, you’d be better off going with more established DIY options, such as Ubiquiti’s UniFi or ASUS’s AiMesh. Or stay with TP-Link’s Deco family.

When can we expect Starhub to provide new router to replace the TP-Link EB810v router it was first issued on 24 Feb 2024. I am intending to re-contract my existing plan. Thank you

I do not think Starhub will replace the EB810v with another 10Gbps capable router for those plans with EB810v (usually higher priced 10Gbps plan).

Interestingly now Starhub provides good 10Gbps recontract offer with HB710 at S$30.49 per month (maybe only for targeted recontract users). HB710 has lower HW and less wireless coverage, but seems to be more stable.

I have two TP-Link EB810v routers set up in a wired backhaul Mesh configuration. The Mesh network itself works fine — Wi-Fi is stable and internet access is always available.

However, I frequently encounter a problem when trying to manage the Mesh through the Aginet App. The app often fails to connect to the routers, showing messages like “We can’t find your network……Cloud service error”. Both routers are already running the latest firmware.

If I restart the routers, the app usually works again for a short period, but the problem comes back after a while and it becomes unable to connect to the Mesh again.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Aginet failing to manage the Mesh even though the Wi-Fi network itself is working fine?

Thanks a lot.

By the way, is there any TP-Link Aginet developer or engineer here? The app has some obvious issues with multilingual support — even if I set the system language to English in iOS, the app still displays in another language. This problem has been around for a long time and still hasn’t been fixed.

actually the eb810v is very stable and good coverage for 3 room and below hdb. :o

so SH is hesitant to change things that worked for most users.

only waste is SH never force Tplink to unlock the extra 1GB system memory for us. It has the peak 2024 qualcomm SOC with 2GB.

Yes i actually suggest to change the EB810v and SH turn down so i believe they have a lot of stock. May be our SH EB810v is not using the standard Qualcomm SOC with 2GB and it is using just 1GB hardware only so SH show the specs as 1GB only.

It will be better for users to complain to Starhub support.
Or report to IMDA about this neglect, citing evidence of harm. If you have clear evidence of neglect and potential harm, CC Josephine Teo and IMDA.

Or just get a better router instead of hoping for a miracle.

I think there is way to push them to update and IMDA has been informed. Many of us were told by this quarter of the year. I will email to chase for the update again. When more users feedback then they will update for sure. Remember the 2024 peak hours slow down thing, many of us pushed Starhub to upgrade its backend and finally the issue was resolved. It is possible and no miracle. The issue is not so big so no need to email her for sure. So far no harm to any of the users yet.

Remember when i just signed up Homehub UltraSpeed, their Nokia ONR was giving me lots of issue and i also managed to get it changed to ONT after just a few month. I believe this firmware issue can be resolved and I just have to wait for a while.
