yes but even if private info is removed, is that acceptable to the Starhub shop when claiming on warranty? Let's say the NRIC number is blacked out with marker on the service agreement when handing over it to me. if I go to Starhub shop to claim warranty with a service agreement where the NRIC is blacked out, would they honor my warranty ? Or would they know the identity of the user ?

Any info like NRIC cannot blackout or amended.
Anyway for warranty without recepit/invoice you have to check with distro.
I can't share on this cuz by right manufacturer/distro will need warranty
for warranty claim.

Else to ease your headache find a seller who don't mind sharing the service agreement.
I sold my HB710 with my service agreement.
Currently I am using 1 EB810V and 1 access point in the bedroom.

Anyone noticed that Singtel is better in "taking care" of the deivices? For example, when Starhub give EB810v, Singtel give HB810. If you look at the HB810 thread, it has much less complain (we are at page 77 right now, they are only page 16). Also, it seems that Singtel provides regular firmware update, at least every 6mos. Current version is HB810v1_0.13.0 3.0.0 v6095.0 Build 260129 Rel.20269n, previous one is 0.12.0 3.0.0 v6095.0 Build 250828 Rel.38270n. We'll be lucky if we get update once a year.

Question: Can I use HB810 on Starhub network? I subscribed to Starhub bcos of their EPL. Wondering if I can use Singtel's router instead

if I buy from carousell, I will forgo warranty for the cheaper price
cannot expect to have your cake and eat it

I got my eb810v from starhub at $360 because warranty is straight forward
many cheapskates and scammers in carousell, I'd rather not deal with

Yes you can. But you will not get support -- Singtel, Starhub and TP-Link will not support your use case.

Take note HB710 also got much less complaints than EB810v -- even though the firmware updates seem to be very rare as well. Maybe the expectation is lower with the cheaper HB710.

I bought HB710 from Starhub Shop Jurong Point at S$192 in late Dec 2024. Then I used it with my Singtel 5Gbpps plan for two months. After that I use it for my Starhub 5Gbps plan since Feb 2025 installation without issues. (Note: no free HB710 for my Starhub 5Gbps recontract in Jan 2025, only the lousy free EX510).

Seldom see any posts related to HB410...

Yes, you are right.

I bought the EB810v at $240 from Carousell, Starhub shop selling $360, I figured the savings of $120 is worth the no-warranty. Anyway in 2 years' time (when this contract over) the EB810v likely to be outdated in terms of tech already and will just change it.

no..
starhub TV and broadband are separate entity.

U can try watching your EPL channel via non Starhub BB or mobile.
I know, but if you subscribe EPL and you're not Starhub customer, they will charge you $70 per month. But if you're Starhub customer (mobile or broadband), you only need to pay $25

Yes you can watch EPL with any internet access but the subscription price will be different if you are not a Starhub user.

EB810v router's user, if you are also having intermittent disconnection of your wifi please report it to your ISP. It looks like users did not report the issue they are facing to ISP so ISP may mistaken that the router is ok.
