Guys, forget about MiFi whether can use or not or any trottling.
Just use a cheap spare phone and tether that's it!

Connecting to TPG after a long time. I remember in the past TPG didn't support the band on my redmi note 4X and so it didn't work and I put the SIM in my drawer. Now after long time I just try again and it seems to be working here in Jurong area.

Did they fix their weaker band also?

Edit: Checked my old posts. My phone supports B40 and not B8. In the past B8 was the strong band for TPG and B40 was weak band. Looks like they have boosted their B40 band too.

Yes I’m just glad I can do my usual internet stuff (WhatsApp, twitter, grab etc).

Will save me lots of money for my trips to Malaysia/Indonesia in the next year haha

So far the experience is good for me. Can even stream YouTube.

Just got my own TPG SIM to use in my E5885 mobile router and the speeds are so unbearably slow even for normal web browsing. Instagram and Youtube is pretty much unusable.

Tried it on my phone and the speeds are fine. So why are they throttling the speeds on my mobile router?

I'm getting speeds below 0.5 megabits per second which is ridiculous.

Guys, check with you all. My friend is using xiaomi phone, and I managed to help him do the settings for the simcard to work liao, both data and calls. When he went JB yesterday, he says can't detect network so didn't get to use the auto roaming data. And after he came back Singapore, he can't use the data and calls here liao. I haven't got the chance to see his phone yet, but I hope if anyone can give some advice so I can help a friend too.

Thanks. :)

Yah they are throttling all mobile router. so to get good speed is to share via phone. Not sure why, email them before they just don't wanna address this issue but suggest you to use Phone instead of router.

After returning to sg, must either reboot phone or reset tpg line. Or else, it will stuck with yes 4g.
Any problem, best to email to tpg, they will try to solve for you.

Thanks for the advice. What do you mean reset tpg line? I told my friend to reboot phone but that didn't work for him...
